PP764 Challenge from Stef

Happy Sunday, peeps! Time for a new Paper Players challenge with Stef as our hostess!  It's Clean-and-Simple week too!  Here we go:

What a great theme!!  It had me conjuring up all kinds of ideas! I knew I wanted to do a vintage image, because I love vintage Christmas, and while going through my bulging folder of vintage Christmas ephemera, I came across a page of stickers from Current!  Remember them?  Santa is one of my favorite images for Christmas; he makes me think of my childhood Christmases!  I pulled out some DSP from a few years back and went to work:

I adhered my Santa to a little diecut circle and added a gold scalloped mat becase, as you can see, the Christmas-word DSP is printed in gold foil too!  I recently got this cute banner die, so I diecut it in Real Red, then added another banner of gold foil behind it to help it stand out:

On the inside, I added a Flonzcraft sentiment:

Not a lot of stamping, but a whole lot of cute!  And since Little Red Wagon is looking for gold or silver, I'm going to pop it in over there as well!

Now, what CAS creation will you create for our challenge?!  Remember to keep it simple!  Share it with us at the Paper Players blog! We can't wait to see it!  Thanks for visiting today, enjoy it and be blessed!

LeAnne, you've just reminded me that I haven't used my 'letter to Santa' this year! Do I ever remember Current - I could look at that catalog for days and still use my recipe binder that I bought from there years ago!
This little Santa is so perfectly vintage with his apple cheeks and cherry nose! You have transported me back to my childhood, my friend! I LOve your card so much!

I absolutely love your Santa, LeAnne! He is so cute and jolly with the ruddy cheeks. I share your affection for those vintage styles of Santa. He goes perfectly with the gold text background and the banner sentiment is perfection! I remember Current too; you definitely have a fabulous stash, my friend lol!

I love your vintage Christmases - so nostaglic. The gold in the paper is such a luscious thing and you've tied it in well with the gold scalloped circle.

Adorable, LeAnne! This Santa is a cutie - truly a jolly old elf. The paper you selected makes a perfect backdrop. I remember when SU! released it. It has such a lovely vintage feel. As for Current - oh my gosh! What a blast from the past! Have a wonderful week!
