Happy Friday, peeps! This is what we woke up to in SE PA this morning:
Yep! Winter is not finished with us yet! It's really not bad; the roads are clear and it's almost over, and it is more of a nuisance than anything! Another nuisance is a nasty head cold that has walloped me and is sapping my energy and creativity! I used the FMS sketch again just because I was too tired to look for another one! Here it is:
I layered the vellum over the DSP, which was layered on a Watermelon Wonder panel and heat-embossed a sentiment from the Watercolor Wishes card kit (again...laziness ruled) and as you can see, I didn't use an Embossing Buddy, so my sentiment has some little additional flecks:
Still looks pretty on the vellum, though....and to carry through the feathers that are printed on the vellum, I diecut two feathers, folded them in half and ran them through my crimper to get this cool effect:
My horizontal panel is from the Color Me Irresistible Specialty pack...can you see the embossed dots? It's subtle, but I love how they complement the polka-dotted DSP. A baker's twine bow completes my card! Thanks for popping in today!
Cassidy wanted to make a card yesterday for my friend and she specifically asked for a cardinal:
which she decorated some more! I particularly like the eyelashes on the cardinal! Enjoy your day!
