Vintage Thanksgiving

DSCF9640

I recently got some vintage postcard images through LunaGirl on Etsy.  Linda at the Funkie Junkie  has beautiful creations and she recommended her and I was not disappointed.  I downloaded some seasonal images and made a Thanksgiving card for my brother and SIL:

This is a really simple card as my SIL loves country stuff but HATES buttons….which makes it hard to embellish a card for her as I love buttons!  I opted to add some stamped leaves to a Top Note panel, and cut two out for my embellishment.  She is an excellent cook & baker, so I hope she likes this cute little girl eying those pies!!  (I hope the ones I am making today turn out as well as those on the postcard!) And I hope that everyone who is celebrating this holiday remembers that all our blessings come from above, including this little sleepyhead!

Wee Details:

  • Stamps:  Blessed by You, Waltzingmouse
  • Paper: More Mustard, Riding Hood Red, WW, Nook & Pantry, Basic Grey
  • Ink:  More Mustard, Riding Hood Red
  • Acc: Digi Image, Polka Dotted Scalloped Ribbon, Brad, Top Note Die

Your card is so warm and inviting! I think those pies could be smelled in Maryland! I cheated and bought mine from a baker...:( Cassidy looks like a little sweetie PIE herself!!!
