ColourQ 109

DSCF9242

Happy Tuesday!  It’s ColourQ time, and here is a trendy palette for you from Arielle:

cqc109

I needed another sympathy card for a young woman in our church who lost her dad.  I went very clean and simple with this card:

CQC109-LeAnne

I made use of some of my Basic Grey Wander papers; they were all the right hues, so all I had to do was to mount them on my Soft Suede panel. A simple sentiment and little beehive heart, which mimicked the pattern in the blue paper, was all I added:

I repeated the Mondrian theme on the inside:

Hope this inspires you to make something special with these colors!  You’ll find more inspiration over at the ColourQ blog, where you’ll be able to view all the designers’ creations.  I hope you share yours with us too!  If you have any questions about my card, just shoot me an email!

We went to a Halloween party last night at a friend’s house; Cassidy went too!  She was really good at keeping her costume on!

She was enthralled at the kids in their Halloween getups at the front door:

but was even more taken with a little fellow her own size; he was not too sure about her, though:

It was a fun time with lots of kids of all ages and wonderful food!  Hope yours was fun too!

ENTHRALLED is the word for that expression and what a doll baby all dressed up like a lady bug.....is that your husband? Handsome man for a lovely lady.

Oh....the photo of your card....what card? I was too busy looking at your darlings.

Great color blocking! Love the ladybug outfit too :) She looks adorable. My son was a bumble bee once and it is still one of my favorite pictures of him :)

Simple but beautiful card one I will definitively re-produce, thanks for the inspiration.

Beautiful card, LeAnne! this is one of the best I have seen using those colors! But of course it takes back seat to your Lady Bug, although she is a card of different stuff! Love Cassidy's pictures! Happy November.

OK that baby girl is amazingly adorable! She is a very cute ladybug! But the last picture of her with the little guy might just be my all time favorite (do I say that every week?) Love that look on her face! You are one snappy photographer!
