First, Happy Memorial Day to all! It is a beautiful, hot, sunny day here in PA, and although we are enjoying the weather, our hearts go out to the families of those who gave the ultimate sacrifice so we can be free.
I had a little free time today to stamp a couple Christmas cards for my stash! The first one is for SCS’s CAS121, which was to use folded or scrunched ribbon:
I know it is difficult to see in this photo, but the ribbon ends are adhered at different points as they “frame” my little Scottie dog. I lightened this photo so you can see it a bit better:
The stamp is from Picture Show; DP is Max & Whiskers, BG; image is colored using ink & blender pen. Easy peasy.
The next one uses the Mojo Monday 193 sketch:
and also qualifies for the Jingle Belles “We Three Kings” challenge, which is to use three DPs in your card. So here we go:
There’s actually no stamping on this card, except for the sentiment inside!! Yikes! I altered the ribbon element to fit my picture a bit better. The images are from Crafty Secrets, DPs are Wassail from BG. Here’s a closer view:
The snowflake is from SU’s Northern Flurries diecut, covered in Versamark, Heat & Stick Powder and some MS vintage glitter.
I don’t have any pictures of Miss Cassidy today, but I do have a couple from the Memorial Day parade John & I were in! He marches with other servicemen; I march with my local Curves:
In our driveway, on the way to the parade;
One of the Curves girls, Barbara (not shown), brought three alpacas to march with us! Carol, the owner, got elected to help “walk” them! She, Barbara, her husband Jerry and I all went to school together. Who would think so many (many, many!) years later we’d be walking alpacas down the main street of our little town of West Grove, PA!!! LOL! They were quite a hit with everyone! I hope you have a wonderful day!

Both of these cards are so fabulous! Love the ribbon detail on the little Scottie, and the design with the patterned paper is gorgeous! I love the alterations you made to the sketch - that snowflake is the perfect accent, too. Looks like you had a blast this weekend - so fun! I love the last picture of the parade.... makes me homesick for PA (you can just tell when it's a picture of eastern PA, ya know?) Seems strange with no little one smiling at the end though, LOL!! Enjoy the rest of your weekend. :)
AHhhh, what great photos! I love the one of you and John! Men just look so nice in uniform don't they?!
Happy Memorial Day!
Oh LeAnne ~ what a beautiful picture of you and John ~ and your town picture, Dean & I love little towns and it looks like PA will make it to our bucket list! Have a wonderful holiday!

Looks like a great parade!
Very nice pic of you and your husband. And, what a cute little parade...looks like a fun town. Green (envy) that you are working on your Christmas cards...I'm up to my July birthdays...that's it.
Gorgeous photos LeAnne--I love the pic of you and John! What a fabulous parade! Happy Memorial Day, my friend!
LeAnne, I love the 2nd Christmas card! I even posted this time to Jingle Belles! It looks like you have a great time in your town. Happy Memorial Day!
What wonderful photos and I think it is great that you showed your patriotism! (who doesn't love a man in a uniform?)
Your cards are terrific, I love the patterned papers you used for the Jingle belles one, I really thought that you had stamping on there!
Beautiful cards, LeAnne! And what a great parade! Our parade consists of the local veterans group, the H.S. marching band (which is quickly dwindling to nothing, unfortunately) the scouts, and a fire truck. :( I guess it's the program they do afterward that has more meaning than the parade.
LeAnne, I love your photos! I hope you are going to frame that photo of you and John. Looks like a fun time and a great way to celebrate the holiday. Thanks to you, I now want an alpaca. Are they ever cute!! Your cards are gorgeous, too! Hope you had a great day! :)
I like your Scottie, reminds me of the little magnets I played with when little.
Thanks for the pictures of the parade..I'm from Oxford and Dad was always a flag carrier, 2 sisters, brother and I were with the scouts.
God bless you and thanks to your husband for serving. Ruth Ann
Wow looks like you had a lot of fun. That is one great pic of you and your Husband.
Hugs
