Happy Sunday, peeps! Happy June! Jan is our Paper Players hostess this week with a really fun challenge:
Usually I have something hanging around on my desk that I salvaged from a piece of mail or something, but I had to resort to going to my cut-up Christmas card stash that I usually send to St. Jude's but hadn't sent out yet! I found this sweet little image on the front of a card, so I re-purposed it for my own holiday greeting:
I diecut the panel with a Scalloped Contours die and backed it with a mat of Gold Glimmer paper and added a little gold pearl to the star, then popped it on top of a Very Vanilla card base. I just love this little sentiment:
And to add to the sparkle, a sentiment from Sparkle of the Season, embossed in gold, went on the inside:
I cannot wait to see what you can create with something recycled or repurposed! Share it with us at the Paper Players blog, and see what the other participants created as well! Thanks for popping in today! Enjoy it and be blessed!

My first thought: where do I buy that stamp?? Is this a hand-made card or store bought that you've recycled, LeAnne? It is just wonderful how you've made it 'brand new!'

What a perfect way to recycle this beautiful card. I love the scalloped die and the gorgeous gold glimmer background! The sentiment is just fabulous, too!
Very sweet card! I love this Christmas tree! The scalloped die & the gold glitter adds even more fun to the card. Great job!
The recycled image and sentiment are so sweet, I can see why you chose that one to use, LeAnne. Add a piece of glitter paper and a great inside sentiment and another card for the holiday stash!
What a great idea to use old Christmas cards and give them new life like this. The scallop die really makes it come alive, as does the glimmer paper behind it. Great re-purposing!
Way to go with the recycling, this is simple fabulous!
LeAnne... you and I were thinking along the same lines! Love your take on recycling Christmas cards.
