Happy Friday, all! I'm a little behind schedule today! Since John told me I needed to make more sympathy cards, I decided to use the FMS sketch from Cecile to remedy that. Here it is:
I made my central portion of the card, then realized it was too big to fit on the size card I wanted! So I opted to make a larger 5" square card! Here we go:
The scripty portion is from Elements of Text, stamped in Crumb Cake, and the greenery is from the retired Nature's Prints, stamped in Crumb Cake and a wee bit of Pecan Pie:
I added a Crumb Cake mat and a scalloped Pecan Pie mat, as well as a bit of twine and pearls from embellishments. The sentiment is from Hero Arts. I did add a few speckles around the edges as well, they're also from Elements of Text. It feels good to use some of my older retired sets!
Thanks for popping in today! Enjoy it and be blessed!

This is soooo pretty!
So very pretty, LeAnne!
This is beautiful, LeAnne! I really need to get that Elements of Text stamp because everywhere I go I see great card idea's with it! Thanks for enabling me! LOL Love the soft colors and your added floral spray on the side. Well done on the challenge!! :)
A neutral, soothing, and lovely card for sending your sympathies, LeAnne! You've tucked the 'greenery' just perfectly and I'm loving your use of those little splatters lately.
What a wonderful use of Cecile's Sketch!

I think it's always much easier to make a sympathy card when you DON'T need one, I can't seem to focus to make a card when I do need one. I have to agree with your husband, make a stash when you don't need them :) I think this all-neutrals version is lovely.
Thanks for your comment on my post with the Nancy Drew books yesterday. I recently started a personal challenge to make cards based on the books and I've been having so much fun with it! Take a look here if you're interested, always great to talk to another Nancy Drew fan. https://snapdragonstamps.blogspot.com/search/label/Nancy%20Drew
A lovely card indeed! Now I want to dig out my Nature's Prints and start creating!
This card is so elegant!!!! i just love the hues and design!
You certainly made this card special for a sympathy card
This is such a pretty way to send your sympathies, LeAnne. The neutrals are so calm and peaceful. I love the single bloom and clusters of grasses! Wonderful card!
This is such a beautiful card LeAnne - I love the scripted centrepiece and the grassy florals are just lovely. There is something so serene and calming about this card - a perfect card for condolence.
