AHSC625 Daisy Sympathy

Happy Wednesday to everyone!  Time for a new Atlantic Hearts sketch:

I finally got to play with ONE thing from the new upcoming SU catalog, and it's this pretty cardstock in Cloud Cover...isn't that a lovely color?!  I do love my blues!  I paired it with some non-SU papers in my stash; here we go:

I stamped the daisy from the Online Exclusive You Are Remarkable set in Memento Black ink directly on to the yellow print paper, and stamped the leaves in Mint Macaron.  I wanted to make the daisy white, so I used some White Craft ink with a very damp paintbrush and filled in the petals:

If I were to do this again, I would leave the paper in my Misti, ink, color and then ink again because I did go over the lines a wee bit on the narrower petals!  It's a learning curve, right?!  I added a layer of Cloud Cover and then some daisy print and my sympathy sentiment.  Here's the inside:

It's hard to make these sympathy cards sometimes, but unfortunately, they're necessary!  I hope you'll play along with our AHSC sketch this week, it's a great one!!  Check out what the Design Team did over at the AHSC blog!  Thanks for visiting today! Enjoy it and be blessed!

Oh LeAnne, this is so pretty and nicely done for a sympathy card! Never would have thought to color in the flower with craft ink but it's looks great! Love the sketch, too!

This is beautiful, LeAnn! Great idea to color while in the Misti and then re-stamp!!! Will definitely try that next time I color with white craft ink. Soooo smart!

I love your card!! I love blues & I already bought Cloud Cover
Your bee & daisy paper is sooooo cute!!! The daisy stamp has been on my list since it released. Haven’t bought it yet, tho.
Great tip on coloring with white ink!!

LeAnne, do not downplay how wonderful your white petals turned out! I just love the idea, and you've added just enough white paint to allow a peek of the print to shine through! FAB U LOUS!

This is just lovely LeAnne! I think the colouring on the daisy is perfect and the mix of patterns and daisy/bee theming makes for a beautifully coordinated card.

Such a sweet card and I'm glad to hear your thoughts on Cloud Cover. Couldn't tell if it was just going to be a pale, pale gray (like Ohio sky...haha) or more blue. It looks delightful on your card!

I think you did a great job with the daisy and craft ink. I find that ink difficult to use. I love the Bee Happy paper! Have a blessed Easter.
