CTD430 and FMS275 Sympathy

Hi everyone!  Yay, Friday is here, the weekend is upon us!  Unfortunately, I needed a couple of sympathy cards this week; the first one I made used the FMS sketch and the pretty colors from Color Throwdown:

I pulled out my Swirly Scribbles die to create a little wreath:

I used elements from Timeless Textures for the stamping; it's a bit difficult to see, but the swirly element is stamped with Baja Breeze; the horizontal dots with Mellow Moss and the sentiment is stamped in Early Espresso.  That lovely "prayer" diecut is from Papertrey (as is the sentiment) and the birds are from Memory Box.  I did a little washi tape for fun!  Thanks for popping in!

Dana did take Cassidy to Urgent Care where they determined she had a small fracture on her knuckle on her left pinky....no cast, but a splint for a few weeks.  Could have been worse!  Thanks for all your well-wishes and prayers!

Enjoy your day and be blessed!

My kiddies have been on half term holiday this week so I'm just catching up on some reading - poor Cassidy, ouch! Love the card - I've had need for a few sympathy cards of late too, must be the time of year. A great to use the birds and nest element and I love the background stamping effect too.

Timeless Elegance is one of my favorite stamp sets. Lovely use of washi too. How do you keep your washi tape so that you know which is SU and which is not? Mine are all mixed and I don't know how to figure out what's what. I should have marked them somehow I suppose. Have a great weekend and sorry about Cassidy's mishap. At least the wrap is purple and not flesh colored...so much prettier!

First off, I really LOve the colors this challenge - and that VASE!! Your card uses the nicest shades of those colors, in the very cutest of ways...bluebirds! Poor C... she does not look at all happy.

Could her face be an sadder?? But she was probably cheerful and happy and having fun with the purple splint as soon as the picture was taken!! I love your card. Your sentiment is perfectly accented with the nest and birds and bit of texture in the background. Thank you for playing along with us at Freshly Made Sketches.
