Happy Thursday, peeps! And happy December! This will be short & sweet....it's a crazy busy weekend coming up! I hadn't played with the Retro Rubber Challenge for a while, and the sketch looked fun:
My niece recently moved from SC to Seattle to take a job with Amazon! We are excited for her but nervous as she is so far away from her family! (Lucky for her, her dad is a pilot....just a hop, skip and a jump to go see her!). I thought this little image from the 2015 set You're Sublime was appropriate:
Her parents drove all her belongings out and I am betting that my sister was wishing for a little pink camper in which to rest her weary bones! And I know yesterday's card used the same color combo....funny how that happened! The Pop of Pink Specialty DSP just seemed like a cheerful background for this pink camper! It was stamped in Stazon on Shimmery White cardstock and colored loosely with inks and an aquapainter. I popped up the flag for fun and cut it out with a Stitched Shape framelit. A piece of Strawberry Slush twine finished it off.
I bought some little wooden ornaments and Cassidy and I had fun painting them with some acrylic paints:
I used some SU Gold Glitter for the star....this girl loves her glitter!
I'll show you mine next! Enjoy your day and thanks for popping in!

LeAnne your card is adorable! Certainly fits with RETRO too. Also looks like another crafter coming along... cute ornament. Good Job Cassidy! Hugs
I really love the pink and black color combo on this!! Super cute image and a wonderful take on the sketch LeAnne!! Enjoy your week!! ;) HUGS
OMG LeAnne, I LOVE this, the pink and black is swoony. I love Seattle, I went to WWU and so it has a special place in my heart and my friends still live there. Your Niece will have a blast. Loved the pictures of Cassidy getting her craft on. See you in the gallery again soon. Clairex
LeAnne, such a girly girl camper... I love it! The designer series paper adds so much. So very glad you found some time to play along with the sketch challenge at Retro Rubber. And your little helper did a fantastic job on her ornament. Painting ornaments was always a favorite pastime in the old homestead.
Now that's a cute little camper!! Very sweet card LeAnne! Sweet little girl with a sweet ornament too ;)
Such a fun card to get after that grueling trip! Moving is never a fun idea. (In fact, my husband and I figure we will just sell everything and start over next time LOL. Pack our clothes and hit the road... Oh, but I can't leave my crafts! Yikes! I have to back out of that deal!!) I LOVE the colors you chose and that camper in pink shimmery paper was a stroke of genius! Thanks for playing along with us at Retro Rubber. We always love seeing you in the gallery!
Oh LeAnne, what a sweet little pink camper!! I bet this card cheered your sister up big time, what a long and arduous trip!!!
I love the pattern papers you used, so cheerful and they go together beautifully, I don't have an eye for patterns like this, I love it when I see other crafters use this papers so perfectly.
Now, Miss Cassidy is one fabulous crafter herself, that tag is lovely with it's glittery star and beautifully colored, tell her I say so.
Thank you for joining us in the RETRO RUBBER gallery, we always love to see you there, hope you come back next time.
Hugs.
Maria.
