RRCB49 Trickster

Hi everyone!  I am honored to be the guest designer for the Retro Rubber challenge this week!  I have a plethora of "retro" stamps....and am always happy to dust one off to use for their fun challenges!  Here's the prompt for their latest challenge:

Cute, huh?  It reminded me of a snarky image I got a few years back....I don't even remember from which company it is!!  But it worked well with these cute papers from MME's Frightful line...it's pretty "retro" too!  So here we go:

I stamped the image and sentiment in Memento black directly onto the "wordy" paper, then colored in the nose and "smile" with Tangerine Tango marker.  I did a little sponging around the edges, added a black scallop and then mounted it on that CUTE jack-o-lantern paper I have been hoarding, LOL!  I added a couple of black enamel dots from a retired Project Life kit.  For the inside, I took another paper from the same pad and stamped some images from Newton's Nook's Spooky Street:

I hope you'll play along with this Retro Rubber challenge!  Dig out some of those old stamps and give them some love!  Check out what the other designers created as well at the Retro Rubber blog!

Have a blessed day!

LeAnne, your snarky kitty face brought a huge smile to my face. He does look like he is up to "no good", LOL.... Adding a little color to his nose and to the sentiment made it pop! The jack'o'lanterns definitely have their own personalities. I really like the paper on the card inside... very cool way to add more color with design and sentiments. Thanks so much for being our guest designer this challenge. We always love seeing your creations!!!

Fabulous layout, love the pumpkin paper, those faces also look very Halloweenny and are the perfect background for your main image.
Thank you for being our guest designer this week LeAnne, we always enjoy seeing your cards in the gallery.

Hi LeAnne! Thank you so much for being our guest designer for this challenge! I LOVE this card! The papers are out of this world and I feel honored that you would use some of your hoard to make this card! I love that cat and the sentiment! I know I have said it before but I love that you use dsp to enhance your stamps by stamping directly on the paper! I MUST do this! PS - I don't mean to be an enabler - this was the first time I used the ghoulish grunge set and was happy to have a use!
