US122

DSCF6469-3

I haven’t made a card using an Unscripted Sketches sketch for a while, so I thought I’d play today:

US122

I needed a simple birthday card for my nephew, who LOVES to ride minibikes with his cousin when he comes to visit from SC, so I thought this retired SU Motorcycle stamp would be perfect:

DSCF6467

Some BG Wander papers are the perfect background for this “motoring”-themed card!  And here’s the inside:

DSCF6470-1

I know he’ll like what is inside the card more than the card itself!!

Cassidy is a little bit better….as soon as the Motrin wears off, though, she’s miserable:

but Grammy let her play in her PJs:

DSCF6481-1

but once we got dressed, it was raining so hard we had to stay inside:

DSCF6486

We’re just taking it an hour at a time!  Thanks for your prayers and thanks for visiting today!

Wee Details:

  • Stamps:  Motorcycle, Word Play, Sentiments O’Simple, Unity
  • Paper:  Lucky Limeade, Basic Black, Wander, BG
  • Ink:  Stazon
  • Acc:  Dimensionals

Neat card.

Poor little Cassidy. Her eyes has that 'don't feel good look'. Hope she feels better real soon.

Love th "mappy" background behind the motorcycle! And glad to hear your babycakes is recovering - you can see she doesn't feel well just by looking at her eyes - poor little one!

Poor little dear. Fall can be so hard. She may have some allergies but you can't test for that yet. I don't think. She looks like all she wants is her Grandma to snuggle her.
Nice guy card!

Ahhhhh, it's so hard when your sweetie is not feeling well. Her eyes really tell the story; she's S I C K!

Poor baby girl.... she definitely has that look, you can tell she's not feeling good! :(

Cute card, LeAnne... GREAT use of that sketch. I would have taken one look at that and ran the other way!

Leanne, such a beautiful card! I hadn't thought of using map papers and I've been struggling to come up with a cute card for my niece (pink motorcycle) who is off at college at 16 (her dad is a big Harley guy). This will be perfect!
I'm sorry to hear Cassidy isn't feeling well - it's pouring here too so I can relate to the playing inside part! And I love your daily pictures of her! She's just so cute!

And yet another classic example of your ingenious creativity!! Your nephew is going to love it! Poor Cassidy.....if it were possible I would trade her places.

My first visit to your site - came over from Linda Fisher's! Wow! what great cards!! This won't be my last visit. What I wouldn't do for some rain here - great for snuggling babies. We've only had 8" this year [normal is 30"]. Kisses to Cassidy, hope she's better soon.
