Paper Players 65

DSCF8244-1

Happy Sunday—it’s Paper Players time again!  This week Anne Marie has a sweet sketch for us!  You know I like things in threes, so this had me doin’ a happy dance:

I did place my embellishment at the top of my focal point because it just fit better with this rustic pump image from Countryside:

I am always running low on masculine cards, so I thought this would be a perfect opportunity to use some Well Worn DP with this image.  I sponged around the circle, then watercolored  the line drawing  with some ink and an aquapainter:

The image itself has shading, so it was a quick and easy one to color!  I added a little shadow outside with a Sahara Sand marker.  I also sponged the Cajun Craze circular mat with some Very Vanilla craft ink to mimic the rustic look of the DP.  That same ink was used to ink up the Woodgrain background (I was channeling my inner Nance!).  Some twill embellishments finished it off; the sentiment is from Curly Cute.

I hope you’ll play with us and this terrific sketch—there are lots of possibilities with this one!  Meander on over to the Paper Players blog and share your creation with us!

This is beautiful, LeAnne. It's so soft and gentle, yet it's masculine too. Your colouring is wonderful and I love the idea of shadowing outside the image with the Sahara Sand. Beautiful work. Must now go work on this challenge. :)

LeAnne, This is absolutely beautiful and your coloring is just perfection - I love how you colored the entire image - a skill I have yet to develop. One of my favorite elements of this card is the simple button treatment. So eye catching and yet not fussy. Fantastic card!

Your coloring is perfect on this rustic card, LeAnne! The stamped twill is so creative! This is probably the most beautiful card I have seen created with this stamp. Great job!

Fabulous card this week, LeAnne! I love every last detail. The vanilla sponging on cajun craze give such a rustic look--I can't wait to try that! You channeled your inner Nance beautifully with that woodgrain background--I always forget about craft ink! And your coloring of the water pump is perfection! GREAT card!
