Well, as I was checking my email today, a reminder popped up that my nephew Will’s birthday was coming up!  Arielle’s colors today were perfect for a boy’s card:

I just LOVE these colors and definitely will be using this combo again!  Since I am still trying to help my DD with the baby, time is tight and I went to a stand-by layout and the cute set, Every Little Bit for my images.  I stamped them in Soft Suede and colored them using inks and a blender pen:

I used sentiments from On Your Birthday, and as I was getting ready to put Will’s age in the parentheses, I thought, “OH DEAR—this kid is THIRTEEN?!!!”  How did THAT happen?  Since when did my sweet little nephew turn 13?  He’ll think this is a real baby card!!!  Oh well, it’s done now and he’ll more likely be interested in what’s enclosed than what’s stamped on the outside!!!   Here’s the inside sentiment:

I hope you can visit the ColourQ to see what the other designers have made with these yummy colors, and play along with us too!  Now that school is back in session and life is “settling”, hopefully we’ll all have some stamping and creative time!!  Can’t wait to see what you come up with!

Now here’s a  photo of the awesome birthday boy (a couple of years ago!):

and shoot, we’ll throw in a couple of Cassidy too!

I am thinking her little dress would make a good inspiration piece, don’t you!?  Thanks for visiting today!

  1. Cute, Cute and more Cute!! Love the card, love the pictures, and I agree - that dress would make a great inspiration piece!

  2. Oh my goodness she is so alert! She will be so smart. She sure doesn't look like a new born except for her size. What a sweet little bundle.
    Your card is sweet to and yes 13 year old boys are more interested in what is inside. I love the colors.

  3. LOVE this one! The colors are so soothing, too. Best wishes to your teenager. (and the teen years aren't as "bad" as they say--I enjoyed my kids' high school years.)

  4. You KNOW, pretty soon you'll have to be careful THAT baby doesn't over shadow your WONDERFUL card craft talent - she's a scene stealer! Look at her, "oh, go ONNN!" she appears to be saying! ADORABLE! LOVE her dress as inspiration! Must be why I have a drawer FULL of little frocks I could never part with baby when my wee-girl was truly, WEE! ANYWHOOO! Enough about GIRLS! Let's talk about BOYS! And how there are never enough cards for THEM! hee hee Problem SOLVED, here! HE is an adorable boy, and this card is PERFECT! YOU, my dear, are SO back in the saddle! {*Wink!*}

  5. Adorable card and adorable children. I agree the little dress is a great inspiration! So cute.

  6. Clever how you threw in a couple of your granddaughter! ha ha ! She is sure cute. I am a regular reader of your blog. I am Gracey's girl on SCS. I live in British Columbia Canada I love your cards and can not wait to see what you come up with next.

  7. Love them all, cards and pics! Both of them are real cuties! ~Diane

  8. LOOK at the CHARACTER in that baby's face already! She is so ADORABLE! I wanna' hold her, and smell her head!

  9. Oh my gosh, look at how much she has grown and the smile/laugh, wow, precious. Heck with the cards LeAnne, just keep us supplied with the baby pictures!
