PP760 CAS Foliage

Happy Sunday, all! Jaydee is our Paper Players hostess with a lovely autumn-themed CAS challenge for us:

I had so much fun creating my vivid leaves for a card last week, I decided to do some again, this time using some different dies and a leafy embossing folder as a background.  I know this isn't my usual CAS style, but it really came together quickly:

My dies are from Impression Obsession, and I diecut them from textured paper, then used a blending brush to add color.  I must say, those brushes are amazing for coloring an image quickly!  I ran a piece of Basic Beige through the embossing folder, then added a wee bit of shading around the edge and a little spritz of watery Pecan Pie ink for that "cinnamon" look (at least that's what it looks like to me!):

I stamped a sentiment in Poppy Parade (and I see I got a little too close with my spritzing--I'll have to fix that!) and added some maroon gingham that I colored with a Crumb Cake blend to make it a little more rustic!

I hope you'll play with our CAS challenge this week!  Just remember to keep your stamping and embellishments to a minimum!  Check out what the DT created as well over at the Paper Players blog!  Thanks for visiting today! Enjoy it and be blessed!

What a fall beauty, LeAnne! Your embossed background reminds me of a background stamp I have...I should ink that up soon. I like your collage of die cut elements and really love how you modified the ribbon to make it fit with the rest of your card. Great idea!

The leaves are beautiful and bright, and I love that cute acorn with the tiny bit of gingham! Such a sweet touch! The light splatter and ink blending around the edges of the embossed panel are perfect for fall. This is such a gorgeous autumnal design, LeAnne!
