Hello stampers! Time for a new Paper Players challenge, and Elizabeth is our hostess for this month's color theme! It's a doozy:
At least it was a doozy for me, as purple is a color I rarely use! I like it, I just don't use it! And normally I try to think outside the box a bit for color challenges, but I decided to embrace the Halloween feel to these colors and go for it! Here we go:
To be honest, these colors on this card are NOT at all true-to-life! For some reason, Lemon Lime Twist just does not photograph very well...my card is much brighter that what it looks here! I stamped some Papertrey images in Memento Black ink, diecut them with a postage die and did a bit of sponging around the edges. The images were colored with Copics and mounted on a piece of purple paper that has little skulls on it---very faint, but they're there:
I added a black glimmer paper diecut sentiment and some stars, and this sentiment on the inside; I just wish the color was better, but hopefully you'll get the idea:
Obviously, you don't have to go with the Halloween theme using these colors--if you visit the Paper Players blog, you'll see that the Design Team has come up with some other wonderful ways to use these hues! I hope you'll come play along too!
Thanks for popping in today! Enjoy it and be blessed!

What a spooky cute card, LeAnne! I love how you die cut the adorable images with a postage die. The ghost paper is so fun, as is the subtle skull paper. The black glimmer stars add just the right amount of sparkle. The icing on the cake is the sentiment inside...I LOVE it! Have a wonderful week!
I love Halloween so I'll go for any excuse to do Halloween colors :) I think you rose to the challenge beautifully, I love your little haunts and the skull paper is really cool! And the little ghosties, I love how they have different expressions on their faces.
Love this, LeAnne! Great color challenge, too! Such cute images and how perfect for Halloween! TFS! Have a wonderful Sunday! :)
Your card is super cute, LeAnne! I especially like the one-eyed little monster but they're all really fun. So is that strip in the background with all the ghosts - it made me giggle! Fabulous Halloween card!
I like your little halloween postage stamps, especially placed against the band of ghosts. Funny how you thought Halloween was not thinking outside the box ... it never even occurred to me! I got a smile from your card. Thank you! :-)
