FMS346 and Addicted to CAS141 Hello Summer

Hello, friends!  It's good to be back; we went to the Delaware shore for a little vacation!  The weather was incredible, and we came home in the rain and so far it hasn't stopped!  We have flooding of the little streams in the back and front of our property!  And they're calling for a week more!  GAH!  Anyway, I'm trying to get back into the stamping swing of things, as I feel pretty rusty!  My card today is a just a little simple one using the Freshly Made Sketches sketch and the Addicted to CAS code word of "Summertime":

When I got the Country Road stamp set, I thought that the wagon wheel looked a little bit like a citrus fruit, so I put it to work on this creation, using Grapefruit Grove, Pineapple Punch and Lemon Lime Twist for my colors:

I added a couple of sentiments from various sets, a layer of In Color DSP and finally, a sprinkle of sequins from my stash:

A good way to get back into my stamping groove!!  Thanks for popping in today!

Dana and family went on vacation the same time we did; they went to Virginia Beach and had a wonderful time:

Wayne is quite a magician!  He turned Cassidy into a mermaid!

Then he created a sea horse:

Clever guy!  Enjoy your day and be blessed!

Your card is very sweet and summery. Wayne is quite the sculptor. You can tell how much Cassidy enjoys him and the beach. Glad you had a good week off too.

Welcome home, LeAnne! Looks like you didn't have a blip in your creative brain while away! I love how you've turned those wheels into citrus slices... perfection!

So glad to see you back, LeAnne! Such a pretty card with a summertime feel to it! I love that you used the wagon wheel for this card to resemble fruit slices! How brilliant! Happy you had great weather for your vacation last week but now we are feeling like the tropics outside and with all this rain. We really needed some rain but I think we are in for a bunch more this week. Get your ark ready....may need it! Wayne is pretty talented making the sand creations! Looks great! :)

Welcome back! Sorry you're getting so much rain, we sure need some. It seems to be raining all around us. A brief storm today, lots of rumbles without too much to show for it! Your card is delightful. Those wheels made perfect citrus slices! That's a mighty pretty little mermaid!

Now that you say it I can see it too, LeAnne. What a great way to stretch your stamps turning wagon wheels into slices of citrus. Thanks for sharing your card with us at Addicted to CAS.
