Happy Saturday, peeps! I missed posting yesterday, so I have two cards today! The first is for the Color Throwdown:
Isn't that a pretty scene? I wanted to use the beautiful new Graceful Glass vellum that SU has, especially this bird paper; I know that these birds probably are NOT blue in real life (I am pretty sure the one on the left is a cardinal, but I am going to pretend he is a bluejay!), but I am exercising creative license today, LOL! So here we go:
I used Blends to color behind the birds, then added a panel of Balmy Blue behind the bottom portion. I mounted it on a piece of white cardstock, then on a Basic Black card:
The vellum gives it such a soft look, I can't wait to play with it some more! The final touches were an embossed sentiment from Stitched All Around at the bottom and some retired narrow grosgrain ribbon!
The next card is for CAS(E) this Sketch; no matter what I did, I couldn't get this to photograph as well as I would have liked! You'll have to use your imagination! So here's the sketch:
There were lots of ideas floating around in my head, but in the end, I used Rooted in Nature, which is a pricey bundle, but I think it is going to be worth every penny! Such great images and dies! And it's perfect for masculine cards, like this Father's Day card:
I used a piece of Wood Textures DSP and used the Layering Circles to cut out the circle. The stamp was inked with Garden Green ink and the trunk was colored with an Early Espresso marker, then cut out with the matching die:
The sentiment is from Itty Bitty Greetings, cut out with the retired Bitty Banner die. Quick and EASY!
We spent yesterday yard-saling and got some fun little bargains, a few yard games for Cassidy, which she tried to teach my great-nieces Emma and Lucy (sorry the photo is hazy, I took the picture through a screen!!):
And while we were yard-saling, we saw lots of these:
Everybody likes bargains! Enjoy your day and be blessed!

Beautiful cards! Love the Rooted In Nature Bundle but yes, it is a bit pricey so for now it is on my Wish List. Love what you created with it here. The Wood Textures DSP also compliments it so well! I also love your bird card! Beautiful vellum colored so nicely! Did you use the Blends to color that? This weekend there are alot of yard sales around here too! One at a local church we wanted to go to but I have a stamp get together this morning so maybe after it's over we will hit it up! TFS and enjoy your weekend! :)
Both cards are wonderful.
Sweet photo of Cassidy bending down with the little girls.
Love those birds! I may have to look into that paper! The tree is so perfect for a masculine card. Might need to look into that one too.
Excellent site you have here.. It's difficult to find
high-quality writing like yours these days. I honestly appreciate individuals like you!
Take care!!
