Happy Sunday, peeps! Today at the Paper Players, Nance is our lovely hostess with a fabulous sketch:
I even followed the colors of the sketch, LOL! I made two cards for this challenge, as I needed a couple of thank you cards! I used Laurel's Inspired By: Kitchen Love cute inspiration photo for my colors:
I remembered this cute DSP from a few years back, I am pretty sure it was called Domestic Goddess, and I paired it with the little grater from last year's Perfect Mix set:
I stamped the grater in Pool Party ink and colored it with Pool Party blends, and although you can't see it here, I coated the whole thing in Versamark and heat-embossed it with clear embossing powder, so it's cool and shiny!!! If you check out Laurel's card, she uses an adorable gingham button, so I was inspired to make one of my own with a gingham stamp, a button die and some Poppy Parade ink! It sits atop a little bow from the retired Cupcakes and Carousels Embellishment kit!! I added a scallop of white and two banners for the horizontal piece:
And just for fun, I made another one using the flip side of the plaid paper...most everything else is the same, but I left off the scallop border around the circular element.
I have been hoarding this paper, I'll be sad when it's all gone! Thanks for popping in today, be sure to check out what all the other PP designers created...you can see them all on the Paper Players blog...and share your creation too!
Cassidy loves a little ice cream snack after school, and I made her keep the ice cream in the freezer downstairs....otherwise, I would be the one eating it all! (Out of sight, out of mind, right?!). She was tired of running downstairs to get it so she made me a sign and taped it to the fridge:
Enjoy your day and be blessed!

Oh my this is a wonderful card! Love the little bow!
A punny sentiment, plaid gingham and a fresh as spring colour scheme - what's not to love about today's fun card LeAnne?! The perfect way to let someone know you appreciate them. Love those papers - I think I would have hoarded them too, so useful too. Love Cassidy's little sign - if only it was that easy, bless her!
What a cute card! I love your style.
Every once in awhile I see a card that is so cute and this is it. The colors are yummy.
Both cards are "grate"! Yes, I can see why you don't want to part with that DSP. Cassidy is such a sweet, thoughtful girl...that note is quite a deterrent! You can do it Grammy!! Have a blessed day.
Great card. Love the plaid paper and the colors.
Cassidy is a smart girl leaving you that cute note.
LeAnne, these are so FUN! I still have that DSP. I hoard papers and this is one I love! The colors are so fresh! That little grater is so cute. The sentiment made me LOL! The little bow and button are perfect! I need Cassidy to make that sign for my me! My grands want ice cream on every visit and I have a hard time staying out of it! I hope you have a wonderful week, My Friend! Stay warm! XXX
Love Cassidy's sign, especially how she signed it "love."
Great (grate) card! Fun and pretty. You have a great eye for color combinations.
You do love the puns! This is sweet paper and in colours I would never have thought to put together. As usual though, when you do it, it looks magnificent! I have heard of people having a beer fridge but I've never heard of an ice cream fridge! :-)
I just love your cards every time I stop by to take a peek. Today was no exception! These "grate" cards are darling! And it is always fun to see what Cassidy is up to. What a sweetheart. I hope you left the ice cream alone. :)
Hugs,
Jennifer
These are both just as sweet as they can be LeAnne! The paper is darling and that sentiment is too much fun. Oh Lordy...I could use one of Cassidy's ice-cream signs LOL!!!
Super cute cards....but not fair...Retired...Ha!...Cassidy is a trip...just a doll...that child surely uses her brain...
What sweet cards! I LOVE those colors together, some of my faves. Have a good week and be sure to stay out of the ice cream. LOL!
Love the homespun, retro charm of this sweet card LeAnne! These colors are so pretty together and I love that they match our blog colors. Great idea to clear emboss the grater for a shiny effect--I never think to do that but I'll bet it looks fabulous IRL. That Cassidy....she's a "stitch"! Thanks for rockin' my sketch!
I wish I had read your blog on Sunday morning. I wanted to make a card for a shower using Perfect Mix, but could not remember the name of the paper I wanted. Domestic Goddess! Leafed through my file, and finally decided to use something else, as I needed to get it made before the shower. I Loved Domestic Goddess, and have hoarded it just for bridal showers.
I can see why you hoarded that DSP! The colors are beautiful together and your punny sentiment made me smile. Hope you're having a great week ~ Annie
LeAnne, I love both cards and the old SU DSP was perfect. I love the layered focal point with the grater and the little bow is the perfect finishing touch. Oh... and I love Cassidy's note :-)
hugs

You've been an awful busy blogger, LeAnne! I had to scroll a long way to find your card for the PP challenge :) This package of patterned paper is one I've been hoarding. I love it, especially the colors. Super cute card. But have you followed Cassidy's instructions?! My weakness is chocolate....
