PP351 The Adventure Begins

Happy Sunday, peeps!  It's time for another Paper Players challenge, and Joanne is our hostess this week with this theme:

I used a mix of old and new products for my card today, and used the Freshly Made Sketches sketch by Amy:

The stamp is from 2015's Occasion catalog, called Adventure Awaits; I paired it with some fun paper from the current Birthday Memories DSP to get this:

Since the stamp is photopolymer, I had cut apart the two portions of the sentiment, which made it really easy to stamp it in two colors!  I chose Pacific Point and Pumpkin Pie, pulling colors from the dots in the paper.  I used a sentiment from the retired Silhouettes and Script for my small side panels, stamping the words in Pumpkin Pie and Lemon Lime Twist:

A couple of little matching banners and punched stars finished the outside:

For the inside, I used a sentiment from Suite Sentiments and diecut it with the banner from the Mini Treat Bag Thinlets; I also cut a strip of stars with another die from the same set and used both the negative and positive parts for some fun!

Most of us in the US have already had our graduations, but Joanne has given us several choices for the challenge, so feel free to be flexible!  Can't wait to see what you create!  And you can check out what the DT did right here:

We had lots of comments about the sweet little kittens at the farm, and no, I didn't cave in and get one, but my friend Sharon brought over a little kitty she rescued from her vet.

She knew Cassidy would enjoy it, and after a few tears shed due to little kitty claws scratching soft skin, Cassidy solved the problem (on her own, I might add), but putting on a sweatshirt so that the claws didn't dig in!

Another kitty fix!  Enjoy your day and be blessed!

Isabella and I have to get regular kitty "fixes" now that grandma has no more kitties at her house. Both daddy and grandpa have put their foot down about NO MORE KITTIES and it makes us both sad so we go visit other kitties as often as possible. ~chris

Perfect graduation card! Love those bright colors and the "congrats" stamped along the sides. That Cassidy is one smart cookie to solve that claw problem like she did!

Yikes - cutting up your stamps?! So very brave of you! I just don't think I could do it - it's a bit like pulling pages out of a book! Although, of course, the result looks entirely as though it was worth the desecration! I'd never have thought of those colours together but they look so bright and right together here.

Love these bright colours LeAnne and that fabulous big sentiment! Clever stamping along the edges of the background panel too and lots of fun star embellishments really make your card a standout! Way to rock my challenge this week!

Wowzer! I LOVE the colors you used - your card just pops! I actually cut a sentiment for the first time last week and we both survived the experience :)
