Happy Friday, peeps! I am finally back to blogging...at least for today, anyway! I was so excited when Bonnie & Loll from CAS Watercolour told me this card had won their April challenge and asked me to be their guest designer for June! You betcha!
Their theme is "summer" and I knew just which stamp I wanted to use! Here we go:
This sweet little row of beach babies is from 100 Proof Press; not sure if it's still available or not. I stamped it in Stazon on SU's watercolor paper and colored it in with an aquapainter and inks. I added a couple little seagulls with a Sahara Sand marker and a sentiment from Impression Obsession. Aren't they cute:
I love their wee little sunburned cheeks! I mounted the completed image on a Soft Sky card base and will save it for someone's special occasion....just haven't decided which one yet! I hope that you'll share your summery CAS watercolour creations with us at CAS Watercolour too!
Here is what we have accomplished on the kitchen reno so far!!! This is looking into my new kitchen....sliding glass door on the right (you'll have to use your imagination!). The original outside wall was stripped of its drywall, a new beam put in, and the old studs cut out. That's my BIL, Jimmy! He and his son Timmy are awesome carpenters!
Now if you do a 180 degree turn, this is the living room...we did the same thing to that wall, putting up a new beam and pulling out the old wall. John spent the whole weekend taking down the drywall...and every item in my house is covered with dust, LOL! But now we have one big room!! Still lots and lots and lots of work to do. I went shopping for kitchen cabinets on Wednesday---totally overwhelming.
I helped dispose of the drywall and fiberglas insulation...I look like I am ready for surgery...and you can see Dr John behind me, operating on the drywall before it all came down!
Enjoy your day and be blessed!

WOW ... your reno is looking good. Look at all that additional space. Your new great room is going to be AWESOME! xx
Your beach babies are soooo cute and beautifully watercoloured, LeAnne. TFS your sweet card and photos of your open kitchen/living room redo. So pleased you were able to be our Guest Designer this month at CAS Watercolour. Hugs...
Such a beautiful image! And gloriously coloured. What a summery vision!
Congrats on your win! I've missed you but it's nice to see what you and family have been doing. Shame on the parents for not putting sun screen on their children's faces...lol. Your watercoloring was fantastic.
Here's a tip I got from my sister when she was redoing her downstairs: to cut down on the myriad of choices, look only at what's on sale. You'll never remember the rest, and you'll save a lot of money!
CUTENESS!! I have this stamp too and love it. It always reminds me of my hubby and his brothers!! Oh gosh I know all about the drywall dust...everywhere and then some. The reno looks terrific, can't wait to see the finished product!!
I love that adorable parade of children in their old-fashioned swimming suits! Beautifully colored and such a perfect depiction of summer! Thanks so much for joining us at CAS Watercolour as our Guest Designer this month!
I remember all too well the drywall dust from when we renovated our kitchen - I thought we'd never see the end of it as it seemed to stick around for months! But worth it as there is nothing nicer than a brand new kitchen!
Oh my goodness! I remember that dust all to well. You are a brave woman living through that kind of mess but Oh you are going to love the new kitchen. A good friend here is doing the same thing in September. So many decisions. My thoughts and blessings are with you. And of course you know I love this adorable card. Hugs
The cutest of stamped image. They all look like they are having fun and enjoying their adventure. Gorgeous card, thank you for the inspiration and congratulations on your GD Spot x Thank you for sharing the photos of your new kitchen area....it's going to be great! x
