CYCI84

DSCF1737

Hi everyone!  Wednesday already—this week is flying by!  I finally got to play with the cute new set (available NOW in the holiday mini catalog!!) called Happy Scenes and the Hearth & Home framelits which complement it nicely!  I used the sketch from Can You Case It to make my autumnal card!

CYCI#84

So here we go:

LeAnne Pugliese WeeInklings Happy Scenes Autumn Hello

Pretty straightforward---I used some Farmer’s Market DSP; stamped my image in Early Espresso, then used sponges, markers and a blender pen to color it.  I cut out the window frame in Crumb Cake, then sponged it with Sahara Sand for a more rustic look.  The sentiment is from A Dozen Thoughts.  And what do you think of my “curtain”?

It’s a piece of Tip Top Taupe Dotted Lace Trim!  This really went together very quickly….although I think I adhered my window on a little crooked, I hope it’s not too awfully noticeable!  Thanks for visiting today!

Another picture from the first day of school:

And here are a couple more birthday cards I received!  These are from my Paper Players teammates Nance:

Thanks, ladies!  Have a blessed day!

The curtain is what immediately grabbed my eye, LeAnne! I love your card, it's just so cool with the addition of the curtain. I saw this set and bundle in the online catty yesterday and it immediately went on my wish list. So don't be surprised to see an order from me in the not too distant future. :-)

Love your card idea. Can't believe Cassidy is starting school. I've so enjoyed your photos of her through the years. My granddaughter is a year younger and I can't believe how fast the time has gone. Next fall she will start kindergarten. However, I'm very envious of your proximity to your granddaughter as mine is 5 hours away.

Thanks, Anita! Yes, it is a blessing to have her close by..but with the internet, Skype, FB and the like, it's much easier these days to connect with your little one!!! Enjoy them whatever way you can!
