Merry Monday 146

Just a quick card today; I am under the weather again, I don’t even feel like stamping, can you believe it?  I FORCED myself to make a Christmas card for the Merry Monday challenge, which is to use a Santa!  I love Santas!

I went the lazy way out; I knew I had some vintage MME Lost & Found Christmas papers that had a Santa… piece left!  Here we go:

LeAnne Pugliese WeeInklings Merry Monday 146 Vintage Santa

I cut out the swirly portion from the same piece of paper and adhered it to the top left corner, then stamped a few extra words from My Favorite Thing’s Seasonal Sentiments in Early Espresso, and some snowflakes in Encore Gold:

Some shabby ribbon, burlap trim and glimmer country stars finished it off!  Another one for my stash!

I am always touched when I get comments and questions about Cassidy, and some people even send her little cards and gifts, which she ADORES!  She loves to get mail!  My sweet friend Kim sent her a package, which arrived yesterday:

The inside packaging was almost too pretty to open!

But she got it open, and inside was an adorable little doll’s backpack!  She just happened to have a doll on which to put it:

(The backpack is much more attractive than this poor doll!!!)  And this was her reaction to the card inside:

It made both of us smile!  Just check out this sparkly creation!  How fun!  Thanks, Kim!

Pretty card. I like the way you used that paper and added the embellishments. I have the same paper too.
How sweet of Kim to send that package for Cassidy. She looks like she had a great time opening it and the card is adorable.

Sorry you're not feeling well - praying you'll feel better soon. I love how you've let the paper do the work on your card today and I love that scrunchy ribbon and sparkly star.
So fun to see Cassidy enjoying some mail just for her;) -- a cute card too.
