Happy Friday, peeps! Yay, the end of the week! This is quick…I am getting ready for some weekend company but I wanted to share a birthday card for a special friend! I paired the Freshly Made Sketches sketch, a beautiful one by Cindy L:
and the yummy colors that Wanda has featured at Color Throwdown:
So here we go:
I went sort of literal here, creating some flowers from some Typeset and Coastal Cabana DSP, cutting them with a couple of Flower Fair dies. Those little dies are quite handy…even if you don’t have the matching stamp set, they are useful in other ways, too! I diecut a button from the retired button die for the center of my flower:
I added some white chevrons on my Pistachio Pudding using the mask from the Build a Banner kit (they might be hard to see here); my sentiment is from Celebrate Baby; and my background is partially stamped with the Dictionary background stamp:
Thanks for stopping by today!
Cassidy spied a bucket of peppers we had just picked from the garden and went into her “lining them up” mode:
She was pretty proud of herself!
Enjoy your day!

LeAnne, I'm sorry I haven't been leaving more comments for you and Cassidy, I've been here though! I'm really interested in this OCD-ish lining up of things, so many kids do it! I'm going to ask my son if he has any colleagues who may know something about it -- I have a friend whose 4 year old grandson would like up his cars and trucks all around her family room rug! I wonder if it's ordering their universe or something! Anyway, I still love seeing Cassidy grow up, she's such a beautiful little girl -- and of course seeing your beautiful cards and enjoying your contemplation verses! Many blessings, Mary
Have a great weekend and you don't need to thank me for the comment but I love your card. I need to start using my button die so I don't have to pay extra for the rhinestones. .63 is too much to pay to mail a card. Love it.
Nice s/s/s going on here! Love that partially stamped background.....very cool!
This is so beautiful, LeAnne!
Enjoying the cooler temps over here...how 'bout you?
Great job on combining these 2 challenges. Your card is so pretty. I love the soft chevron on the pistachio pudding.
Cassidy's hair is getting so long! It looks adorable on her. I love how she lines things up;)
Enjoy your weekend and your company.
Very pretty
I think that is so cool that Cassidy loves to put things in a row. She dose an amazing job of it and it looks like she has so much fun with it.
I love your card it is really my style.
Have a great weekend!
Oh I love the vintage style card! pretty flower, too!
And peppers are beautiful, even more so in a row.
LeAnne I LOVE LOVE VOLE this card!! The text print bloom is so cute! Speaking of cute...little Miss Cassidy sure is!
So pretty! Love those crinkly layered flowers! The peppers look delish. After 10 years my resident woodchuck figured out how to get into my vegetable garden and ate everything! I was so looking forward to my late summer harvest and now I have to rely on the local farmers' markets. Next year I'll be ready for that guy!
Very pretty card. But oh those peppers; mighty delicious looking. Perhaps Cassidy is contemplating which one she'd like to try!
I'm swooning! Love your design, really neat!
PS-Cassidy sure is growing up.What a cutie!♥

Lovely use of the colors and the sketch. Your card is vintage, yet still so fresh and clean!
LeAnne, I'm always so impressed by how you can move from bold and graphic to CAS to more vintage. This card is fabulous and a great use of the sketch.
Your card is wonderful, but its the picture of the grinning cheshire cat Cassidy that brings a huge smile to my face
