IHS021 & SFF053113

DSCF5484

Happy Wednesday, everyone!  You know how you have that “letdown” after a big event….Christmas, wedding, birth….that’s sort of how I felt yesterday after saying goodbye to my college roommates!  I had some photos printed for them and thought I would make a couple of cards to go with them, using some current sketches.  The first one is the Sketch Frenzy Friday sketch:

I recently got some new papers, so I did some random stamping with some sentiment stamps on this plaid background, then added my focal image, stamped in Melon Mambo:

A little embossed mat and some organdy flowers finished off this simple card.

The next one (I made two of these) uses the I {heart} sketches sketch:

I flipped this sketch on its side and made it a standard A4 size:

I used the same images and sentiments, but different colors and papers!  It’s fun to see how different a card can be when you change the elements!

I miss my friends already!  I hope they enjoy these cards!  If you have any questions about them, please be sure to send me an email!

Beautiful cards! Love the random stamped sentiments! And those organdy flowers are a perfect embellishment! Thanks for joining us at Sketch Frenzy Friday!

Hi Leanne, What a great idea to randomly stamp the sentiment on the DSP! I love this idea. Both of your cards are great and so creative! Thanks for playing along with us over at SFF.

Wow I love your randomly stamped words on both cards. Your roommates will for sure love these cards. I like the way you flipped the sketch for the second card. I agree with you about how changing the elements creates a totally different card with a beauty and style all its own.
