Happy warm Wednesday!  Gee whizzies, we are having some weird weather in SE PA this week!  It is supposed to be in the 60s!!!  I had a wee bit of stamping time yesterday and wanted to make a get well card for a friend from church who suffered a stroke over the weekend.  He is only 59 years old----yikes, that is SCARY stuff!  I hope they can find the cause; he is making good progress but he needs lots of prayers.  I made a one-layer card for him:

I used the colors from Dynamic Duos, Crumb Cake and Soft Suede:

as well as the Less Is More sketch #8:

choosing a masking technique for my card.  I first scored two sets of lines on my card, then added some post-it notes above and below them.  I sponged the area with Crumb Cake ink, did some collage-style stamping in the same color, then removed the masks and stamped the tree and sentiment in Soft Suede:

Clean, simple, easy…..well, not so easy; it took me THREE tries to get this right!  You know how things go sometimes!!!  I added a sentiment and a Bible verse on the inside!  I hope he likes it!  This is also for The Kraft Journal’s Make it Monday, which is to use Northing but Kraft!

Some more Lotto!

Leanne, we must be on some weird, mental telepathy thing or something. I had the idea of using the same set and get well/thinking of you sentiment for the dynamic duo challenge. I need a card for my cousin that was in a terrible car crash this past Sunday. I haven't had time to stamp it yet. Hope your church friend rehabilitates and comes back from his stroke.
