ColourQ 172 Times Two

DSCF2185

It’s Tuesday, which means ColourQ day!  Here’s the happy palette Arielle has chosen for us:

I have to admit that I threw this card together rather quickly; I have lost some of my photo files mysteriously (and no, I didn’t back them up---shame on me!) so my heart just was not into stamping.  I have a couple of ideas as to how to rebuild them but I am ashamed at myself for letting it be such a big issue that I am miserable to be around!!!  I growled at DH so much, he is hiding in his man-cave!   Anyway, here’s my card…I am in need of several thank-you cards, so I may even try to make a couple more using these colors:

LeAnne_CQC172

I stamped the Paisley image (retired SU) in Basic Gray and colored in the white areas with markers in the challenge colors.  I used the sketch from RetroSketches, :

I just cut the panel apart, mounting it on a Basic Gray panel and added my sentiment and embellishments!

Since I wasn’t really thrilled with my first attempt, I put aside my angst about the lost photos, found another sketch and did another card:

This time I used the sketch from CAS-Colors & Sketches #7:

and used the butterfly from the upcoming SAB set, Bloomin’ Marvelous!

This one makes me smile and I feel a little bit better!  Hope these colors make you smile and you can find some inspiration in them to create something as well!  Share it with us over at the ColourQ blog!

More Navitiy fun!  As usual, the box is just as important as the set itself!

Crafting always helps.
The photos are in your computer some were. Look in the hard drive. On my computer to delete something you have to go to about 4 places to really get it to be gone.
I hope you find them
Your cards are wonderful and fun.
Hugs,
Linda

Love the fabulously CAS card you have created using our sketch. Those butterflies are so bright and cheerful. The embossing is a great background. Thanks for playing along

Your card for CAS-Colour and Sketches is stunning. The embossed background is a perfect chose to make the pink strip really stand out. Thanks for joining us.

The first card is so perfect that it looks like you cut it out of the inspiration photo! And you know I love the sweet butterflies and embossing on the second card! Hope today has been a good day.

I love how you colored in that paisley design! I thought it was dsp! Both cards are so pretty!
Computer probs always make me grouchy too! LOL

Oh man, I've lost huge chunks of my photos too (you'd think I'd have learned after the first time, but it took 2 times to get me on a backup plan). I can empathize with how you feel (I got quite grumpy myself).

I do love both of these cards. The colors are awesome in the first (and it makes me want to break out that background). The second card is fabulous with the embossing and pops of color.

Thanks for joining us at CAS Colours & Sketches!

Oooo, these are both pretty fantastic! I don't know which one I like better!

Sorry to hear about the missing photos. Maybe they'll just as mysteriously reappear!

Oh I really like both of these. I can't believe you colored the first one. I thought you got lucky and found the perfect patterned paper. Love the butterflies and the embossing your second attempt. Glad you posted it too.

Wow - paisley - a whole new world! Beautiful cards! I have been struggling and struggling with my new laptop - my husband had things transferred from my old one while I was at Leadership and it did not go well - and I am not happy! Maybe our hubbys can form a support group!
