CAS Melons

Two quick CAS cards today, both using scraps from the Melon Mambo and Rose RedPatterns DP that I used on my scrapbook page shown here.  I love it when you can stretch your supplies!  Okay, here’s the first one:

I used the negative portion of the Fun Flowers diecut to create a framed piece and added some retired dotted ribbon.  The sentiment is from a hostess set called Afterthoughts.  There is actually another part of the sentiment – “I love being spoiled” – which I didn’t really care for, so I cut that off and adhered it to the side of the wood block.  I can still use it if I want, but I love the clean look of the “Thanks” all by itself!   Another card:

I picked up this cute stamp at my local Amish stamp store on Saturday, stamped it once in Melon Mambo on textured white and again on my Patterns scraps…cut out the hearts and paper-pieced them into the design, then added a scallop and a couple more stamped hearts from Itty Bitty Bits, and I have a quick Valentine!

Be sure to stop back tomorrow for the ColourQ!!!  More snow is on the way!  Oh joy!  And don’t forget that there is still time to enter the Paper Players blog hop – see my link here.

  1. LeAnne,

Both of these cards are sooo cute! How clever of you to use the negative image for the one flower, and I love that cute Amish stamp. You are so creative and prolific. Thanks for sharing everyday.

    Love and Blessings, Martha

  2. OHHH! This is so cute, I LOVE the negative image of the flower! THe white just pops against melon mambo, Leanne, thanks for the inspiration.

  3. Great CAS cards LeAnne! Lovely and bright!

  4. Adorable cards, LeAnne - love the negative image flower with the DSP. Fantabulous!

  5. I love the first card with it's simplicity and great colors! I thought for a second that you'd somehow used the fancy label punch to create the flower!! Silly me :)

  6. LeAnne- these cards are BEAUTIFUL!!! WOW! CAS and awesome!! Those colors are fantastic too!

  7. Such yummy color! I do like what you did with the die cut - cute idea. Both cards are great
