Are you singing that John Denver song?!! LOL!! Barbara’s color choices for today’s Color Throwdown were definitely masculine colors in my book, so I pulled out an Artistic Outpost set I haven’t used for a while called Home. First, here are her colors:
A bit challenging, aren’t they? But I persevered, and here’s what I came up with:
I always need masculine birthday cards, so I was glad to stretch myself with these colors! I did some stamping directly on the DP, and I stamped the Cheesecloth backgrounder across the panel so that the cool edges were visible at the top and bottom of the card. The layout is from Pam’s TSG67 sketch:
And since the Elegant Eggplant cardstock is too dark on which to write, I added a Confetti Cream panel to the inside:
You might notice that I actually used Old Olive in my card, and not Always Artichoke…..just goes to show that sometimes the designers goof up too! No problem! We always say “Use something close!” So that’s what I did! We’d love to have you play along with the CTD designers too! Like I said, if you don’t have these exact colors, that’s okay---we just ask that you use something fairly close. You can find all the details as well as the Inlinkz feature right on the CTD blog, so hurry on over! While you’re there, you can check out what the other designers have created, or just check them out here:

So so pretty, LeAnne! I agree with Denise. I was going to say the same thing about the stamp combo and colors together! PERFECT!!!
Very pretty card LeAnne! I love the sentiment.
Today is the 11th. How is your daughter? I hope is a cool and comfortable place.
LeAnne, this is STUNNING! You rocked these colours, and you make me want to give them a try once again... :)
LOVE your use of these colors! The twine is a great touch for a masculine card!
This is beautiful, LeAnne, and definitely perfect for a masculine card! Love it!
I'm singing, I'm singing...Country Roads, take me home...only problem is I'm already in the country and I'm HOT! Really awesome card, love both sentiments and the wonderful layout! LeAnne, you are a terrific card designer!

I'm gonna try my VERY best to make a card with this week's colors, but so far I'm really struggling to make something work!
You, on the other hand, have created another masterpiece! You used these colors beautifully and came up with such a gorgeous card! I love the twine accent, such a perfect addition!
Gorgeous images and a gorgeous masculine card! Great use of the colors, LeAnne!
Wow what a gorgeous combination LeAnne! The colors, the stamps, all of it beautifully combined!
This is SO pretty LeAnne! I love the wheat stamped on the inside too!
Neat card and I love what you did on the inside. tfs
This is such a great card. It just seems to have so many good elements: the design, the colors, the embellishments. it's got it all! Simply beautiful.
Great colors LeAnne--really like Old Olive here and I LOVE the cheesecloth BG. I really thought you had used cheesecloth. These colors look great with the stamps. And, look at that inside! Fantastic.
Now you've got me singing "Thank God I'm a Country Boy" lol.
Love your card for the color challenge! These look like hard colors to work with but man I really like what you've done with them here!
Wow - you did an awesome job with these colors, LeAnne! I admit, I'm a little disappointed... I thought I'd finally see you post a "flop" - lol!!!!!
this is a great masculine card leanne-I thought the throwdown colors lended more towards masculine as well-
you have a very clean design sense, with great balance and color.
enjoyed seeing your holiday cards.
Love your masculine card, LeAnne! The cheesecloth stamped base is perfect for the rest of the card! I think I might need that stamp ;]
