Today is Wednesday, and Cathy at the Color Throwdown Challenge has come up with another wonderful color palette for us to use! I translated these to the SU colors of
Kraft, More Mustard, Chocolate Chip and Old Olive.....great fall colors! I also decided to use a sketch from
Kristin Beuter's new fun sketch challenge, Just Us Girls! Here is the sketch:
This is my first experience using Unity Stamps, and they were quite nice!! Cute designs that just begged to be paper-pieced, I broke out some Basic Grey paper and went to work:
The Unity set I used was Giggle Tree; I added some background swirls from SU's Trendy Trees and a sentiment from My Favorite Things. Nesties provided my ovals & scallops, and the plaid DP is SU's Night & Day Specialty Paper which was sponged with some Creamy Caramel ink to alter its color. My little golden apples were just punched using a 1/4" circle punch, then sponged for depth. As I look at the card now, I think it needs some "ground" beneath the apples, so I will go back and add that later!! LOL! They look like they are floating in the air!

Leanne this is perfect as always and it looks lke it is such a pretty day there as well! The sun makes the yellow it pop with warmth!

LeAnne! I LOVE your card!!! That Giggle Tree set is too cute and you did wonders with it! Your tree does not look like it's floating either! I say you are the artist, this is your fantastic vision and you should leave it just like it is!

THis is a great card, LeAnne! I love all the texture and I've always loved that giggle tree set! This was a tough color challenge, but you made it work to perfection!
