PP641 Hey There

Happy Sunday, everyone!  Hope your weekend is going well so far!  Joanne is our hostess at the Paper Players this week, and her Clean and Simple challenge is to use ONE of something:

I took a bit of inspiration from the pink background on Joanne's prompt to create my little card today:

I love the self-confident look on this little bunny's face as she scoots along on her wheels!  I simply fussy-cut her from the Zoo Crew DSP, then mounted her on a Bubble Bath card.

To keep the clean-and-simple look, my layered panel is the same color, but I embossed it with the retired Elegant Dots embossing folder.  I started to use the sketch from FMS, but thought it might not fit the challenge of "One Image" so I just left off the strip.  The sentiment is from Charming Sentiments.
Then I thought it would be fun to add the strip, so I cut a little piece from another panel of Zoo Crew, and I colored the flowers in with some Bubble Bath ink and a Blender Pen:

Two different looks!  I love CAS cards and this one came together quickly!  I hope you'll play along with our challenge this week...check out what ALL the designers did at the Paper Players blog, then share yours with us too!

We picked up our pottery on Friday from the pottery place (just to be clear; the pottery is already shaped and formed, we just paint it!!).  Here's Dana's lantern and soap dish, the two banks that Cassidy made, and a little BFF charm she made for herself and her friend:

Here are my acorn dish, my little bunny and kitty figurines:

Although her nose looks like a little piggy, I am fond of this wee little cat.  She's going to my friend as a Christmas gift, since she is a cat-lover!

Thanks so much for popping in today!  Enjoy it and be blessed!

AYSI299 Shades of Blue

Happy Friday, peeps!  Once again, I am guest designing for those lovely gals over at As You See It! They have a recipe for us this week and once I saw BLUE, I was hooked!  Check it out:

I pulled out my Dainty Designs bundle again, inked it up with some blue hues and went to work:

My frame and flowers are both Boho Blue; I did watercolor the flowers a wee bit with some Misty Moonlight, and gave them a Night of Navy seam binding bow:

I also stamped some of the other flowers on the Basic White card and added a vellum panel so soften it a bit.  The sentiment from Charming Sentiments was diecut with the Radiating Stitches die, and I added a Boho Blue ribbon and some subtle sequins for extra pizzazz:

Blue is my favorite color, so this was a winner of a recipe for me!  I hope you'll find it a fun recipe too--be sure to come over to the As You See It blog, check out the lovely samples the DT created, and share yours with us too!  Thanks for popping in today!  Enjoy it and be blessed!

TMS707 Warm Hello

Happy Thursday, peeps!  The weekend is almost upon us!  My card today uses the sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches:

I admit that little tilted sentiment had me going for a bit.  But I looked at my stamps and here's what I came up with, using Circle Sayings:

Lost Lagoon is such a pretty color, I am thrilled it has returned!  I am still waiting to receive my big DSP order, so I had to resort to using a Blending Brush on some gold-embossed DSP from a couple years back called Golden Honey Specialty.  I lightly blended some Lost Lagoon ink, added a Gold Foil scalloped border at the bottom, then stamped the seashell images from the Circle Sayings twice to make a full circle, then punched it out.  I then stamped a starfish on a scrap and fussy-cut it out. I also added a few speckles with a really old Zig Gold Painty Pen:

I heat-embossed a sentiment from the same set in Gold and added some Versamark speckles from the Quiet Meadow set:

I like the gold/lagoon color combo!  You may be seeing more of this!  Thanks so much for popping in today--enjoy it and be blessed!

Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal.  But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and
vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal.
For where your treasure is, there you heart will be also. Matthew 6:19-21

Dainty Delight Watercolor

Happy Wednesday, peeps!  After a long shipping delay, I finally got my Dainty Delight bundle and just couldn't wait to play...I just love those delicate florals!  The first go-round was with the stamps only; I pulled out some Thick Basic White cardstock and my Stamparatus and got to work:

I stamped the largest image in Crumb Cake and lightly watercolored the images in with various colors:

To give it a little interest, I embossed it with the retired Subtle embossing folder before adding a Crushed Curry tag on which I embossed a sentiment from the same set.  It was diecut with a Countryside Corners die, and I added a little retired Bumblebee gingham ribbon for fun:

I am also going to squeak this in over at As You See It, where they want to see your newest addition to your craft stash!

This set has endless possibilities, and I've not even begun to check out the dies yet!  Thanks for visiting today--enjoy it and be blessed!

Christmas Craft Creations-No Stamping

Happy Tuesday, everyone! Monday sort of slipped away from me, so no post yesterday!  I did do a tiny bit of creating on Sunday...no stamping, though...for the "no stamping" challenge at Christmas Craft Creations:

I have SO MANY lovely Christmas papers that I seem to be hoarding, I thought this would be a good time to put some to use!  This vintage Christmas collage paper is from Simple Stories called Simple Vintage Christmas:

It's a bit bigger than a standard card because the printed papers are 6x8" and I wanted to get as many of the pictures on the card as I could!  I cut my Crumb Cake to 8 x 6 1/4" and scored it at 4".  I created a tag from some parchment paper I got at a yard sale, then added a glimmer paper"merry", star and greenery:

I attached with a little Real Red ribbon going across the card.  I just love these sweet vintage images, too!

Another one for the stash! Thanks for popping in today--enjoy it and be blessed!

PP640 Home is Where the Plants Are

Happy Sunday, peeps!  And Happy Mother's Day to those moms in the US!  Jaydee has a fun color challenge for us today at the Paper Players!  Check this out:

I chose to use hues of pink and green that are a little different than the challenge photo, using some pretty papers from the Carta Bella Gather at Home line:

I also used the FMS sketch:

I cut strips of the paper in dots and plaid, then mounted them on a floral background.  This cute little sentiment is also from the paper pad; I adhered it to an Ornate Frame diecut of Basic Black.  The silver portion of the challenge is from the tiny little silver embellishments on the diecut:

I just think this sentiment is perfect for Dana...she LOVES plants!  So this card is for her, for Mother's Day! I used the same sentiment from a past Paper Pumpkin kit as I used on a card earlier this week; the card base is Petal Pink and it doesn't look like it would match here in this photo, but in real life, it does!

I hope you'll play with our fun color challenge--it may look daunting, but I am sure you crafty peeps will knock it out of the park!  Check out what the other Design Team members did by visiting the Paper Players blog, then share yours with us too!

Dana took me and Cassidy to The PotteryWorks in Lancaster, PA for some Mother's Day creative time!  Dana chose a little fairy-light jar; believe it or not, once it is fired, it will be a pretty aqua color!  Cassidy chose a Star Wars bank to give to her cousin!

I made a couple little figurines and an acorn dish; it's hard to imagine what the final product will look like, as the colors intensify when fired.

Afterwards, we went to an outdoor restaurant near the shop, and while we were eating, we heard some "clip-clops"......

This police officer was on the biggest horse I have ever seen!  He told us it is a Percheron, and his name, aptly, was King!  He's so tall the officer has to stand on something to get up into the saddle!

I think Cassidy had some other thoughts, based on the proximity of that horse's rump!

And look at the size of his feet!

It was a really great evening! I'll let you know what the final projects look like when we pick them up in a couple of weeks!  Thanks for popping in, enjoy your day and be blessed!

JAI652 Pastel Wreath

Happy FRIDAY, everyone!  Hope you have some nice plans for the weekend!  Today Dana, Cassidy and I are going to the pottery place to paint some pottery!  Dana liked it so much, she decided it would be a fun thing for the "girls" to do!  Anyway, I have a card using some pastel shades and the Cottage Wreaths stamp set that made it into the current catalog from the holiday one!  First, it uses the Just Add Ink sketch:

And here we go:

I stamped the wreath in Lemon Lime Twist ink, then diecut it out.  I used the smallest flower die from the Zany Zoo dies to cut little flowers from Bubble Bath, Fresh Freesia, Lemon Lolly and Balmy Blue, and everything went on a Bubble Bath panel that I embossed with the Stitched Greenery die.  I added a bit of Lemon Lime ribbon, and all the flowers are embellished with some past In Color gems.  The sentiment is from Love For You:

and on the inside, a sentiment from Best Family Ever along with some hearts!  This will go out in the mail real soon!

Thanks for visiting today!  Enjoy your day and be blessed!
