Christmas Gnome

Happy Monday, peeps!  Hope you had a good weekend!  I am really late today but after our Easter celebrations yesterday, I just relaxed and didn't stamp a thing!  But I did get a little card made this morning for the Just Us Girls color challenge as well as the Addicted to CAS one-layer challenge (although it may not be quite CAS enough!):

So here we go:

I used my Stamparatus to first stamp the Nordic snowflakes along the edge, then stamped my gnome and after masking him off, stamped the trees behind him.  I colored him with Blends:

then added the sentiment and hearts:

Then finally, the sentiment on the inside!

Thanks for popping in today!

The temperature was 22 degrees this morning when I woke up and our yard and fields were covered with frost, so it felt appropriate to be stamping a Christmas card!  Hopefully it will warm up!  It was a wee bit warmer yesterday as we went to my nephew's house for lunch:

Jameson and Sawyer were happy to see their cousin, and Grammy was happy because she wore a pretty DRESS!  Enjoy your day and be blessed!

PP587 CAS April Showers

Happy Sunday, peeps, Happy Easter!  Claire is our Paper Players hostess this week with a seasonal CLEAN AND SIMPLE challenge!  Check it out:

I chose to use the umbrella from Under My Umbrella (retired) and the sketch from Atlantic Hearts:

I confess, the sketch scared me a wee bit, but since it was a Clean and Simple challenge, I decided to do some simple blending to create that background.  (Be kind, I am still learning the ropes with my blending brushes, LOL!)  So here we go:

For my background, I simply took a sheet of acetate and laid it on my cardstock, then used my blending brush and some Balmy Blue ink to create the "rays".  I then punched out an umbrella from some Balmy Blue gingham DSP but it really didn't seem to match so well, so I did another from Bermuda Bay...better!  I stamped a floral image and fussy cut it out, adhering it atop a sentiment banner and an embossed circle:

I added a few sequins and a couple of birthday sentiments to the inside and it was done!  It's not as CAS as I normally do but there are only a couple of layers and a good bit of "white" space!

I hope you'll have fun with our Clean and Simple challenge this week!  Check out what the designers did over at the Paper Players blog, then share yours with us too!  Remember to keep it clean and simple!  Thanks for popping in today, enjoy it and be blessed!

"As they entered the tomb, they saw a young man dressed in a white robe sitting on the right side, and they were alarmed.  "Don't be alarmed," he said.  "You are looking for Jesus the Nazarene, who was crucified.  He has risen! He is not here.  See the place where they laid him.  But go, tell his disciples and Peter, 'He is going ahead of you into Galilee.  There you will see him, just as he told you'."

FMS531 Nature's Prints Hello

Happy Saturday, peeps!  My card today uses a set that will be in the upcoming SU catalog called Nature's Prints.  I paired it with sketch from FMS:
Instead of using the DSP that coordinates with this set, I chose to use a wee bit of Hand Penned for my little squares, and a little floral image, stamped in Gray Granite and colored in Pale Papaya:

I mounted them on a Basic White card base that was partially embossed with the Greenery cover die, then added a strip of Sun Prints and Pale Papaya:

and a sentiment from Best Year along with a Genial Gem:

I am also entering this at Little Red Wagon, where they want to see THREE of something! Thanks for popping in today!  And I thought I'd share a vintage postcard that Dana sent to me!  She has an app on her phone that lets her color in images, and she colored this one and told me it looked like something I would have on my blog!  So here it is in all its cuteness:

Enjoy your day and be blessed!

"Again the high priest asked him, 'Are you the Christ, the Son of the Blessed One?' "I am," said Jesus.  And you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Mighty One and coming on the clouds of heaven."  Mark 14:61b-62

TMS652 Happy Father's Day

Happy Friday, peeps, Happy GOOD Friday! I have a fun little card using the Tuesday Morning Sketches sketch:

I wanted to make a few more cards with the Your Biggest Fan stamp set and matching dies and DSP, so here we go:

I only had a couple scraps of paper left from the Hey Sports Fan collection, so I layered them on a Very Vanilla card base, stamped the pennant in Evening Evergreen, and did some diecuts of Bumblebee to embellish it.  I did a little ticket strip on the edge, and embellished it with some resin stars, and as an afterthought, added some Fan baker's twine:

The last couple of days have been very warm and summer-like, but it IS still April.  Cassidy jumped the gun a little as she was outside playing with her friend Ben by insisting she wear her bathing suit:

Kids!  What can you say?!  I know their pool isn't open yet!  Thanks for popping in today!  Enjoy it and be blessed!

I Never Saw A Pink Bee

Happy Thursday, peeps!  I have a sweet little card today, no challenges, but I had some scraps of pretty little flowers sitting on my desk that were begging to be used:

I cut them out with a stitched rectangle die, added a Blushing Bride stitched rectangle mat, then a little diecut from Nature's Thoughts to fill in the gap.  Just for fun, I stamped the bee from the retired Honey Bee set in Sahara Sand and colored it in with a Blushing Bride marker!  A pink bee!  I also added some Wink of Stella and it looks very glittery in real life!

A sentiment from the same sets was stamped and diecut with the new Stylish Shapes dies...love them!

I added a birthday sentiment on the inside and it is ready to go!  And speaking of pretty little flowers, these have been popping open in my flower bed and around the neighborhood:

Finally, spring has sprung!  Thanks for popping by today!  Enjoy your day and be blessed!

TCC173 Shabby Chic

Hi there, stampers!  Today I have a card for the new Card Concept challenge, and the challenge gave me a chance to do a shabby-chic card! They're just about my favorite style to make but they do take me a wee bit longer, so I don't make them as often as I would like to!  Anyway, here's Julie's prompt:

Aren't those pillows gorgeous?  I am a pillow nut, I have tons on my couch, but then we have to take them off when we all want to sit on it, LOL!  Anyway, I pulled out a couple of old SU sets, Freehand Florals from W+9, and some Prima Farm Sweet Farm papers to create my shabby chic/vintage card for this week:

I started with the sketch from Sunday Stamps:

then layered on some of the papers to a Sahara Sand base.  I stamped the birdcage from Nature Walk in Stazon Black, then added a few more elements from the same set to the background; the flower in Blushing Bride, the "number" in Sahara Sand, and I also stamped from script from French Foliage:

The flowers are from W+9, stamped in Blushing Bride and Merry Merlot along with Sahara Sand foliage.  The sentiment, heat embossed in white, is from Our Daily Bread Design Mini Tag Sentiments.  I diecut the circle and the banner with the new Stylish Shapes dies that will be coming out next month!  Love them!  Finally, I diecut a little wren from Sahara Sand and added a little color and shading to him so he could perch just below the bird cage.  I also added some Black & White gingham ribbon for fun!

I didn't stamp anything on the inside; I will leave it blank until I know for what occasion I'll be using it!  Now, I hope this gorgeous sets of pillows will whet your stamping appetite to come play with us.  Just be sure to tell us your stamping "style" (you can see all the styles on the Card Concept's blog); we can't wait to see what you create!  Thanks for visiting today!

A little arcade game action!

Enjoy your day and be blessed!

"Remember the former things, those of long ago; I am God and there is no other; I am God and there is none like me.  I make known the end from the beginning, from ancient times, what is still to come.  I say: My purpose will stand, and I will do all that I please." Isaiah 46:9-10
