PP542 Biggest Wish Sketch from Jaydee

Hello peeps!  We spent the last few days with family; John's stepdad's funeral was on Thursday; the service was at a small country church in the tiny crossroads town of Niantic, PA.  The cemetery overlooks farm land and it was a beautiful day to honor him. But we're home now and back to semi-normal, just in time for a new Paper Players challenge with a sketch from the amazing Jaydee:

This is my FAVORITE sketch, but Jaydee turned it upside down, so it was even more fun!  These fun leaves from the Pansy Petals DSP caught my eye, especially since the opposite side was GINGHAM!!  I stamped a sentiment from Biggest Wish directly on the gingham in Evening Evergreen, then added a diecut  scalloped rectangle and some matching leaves:

I love how well these leaves coordinate with the DSP!  It all went on an Evening Evergreen card base and I added a white mat on the inside for correspondence!  Easy and striking!

Like I said, this is my favorite sketch and you can use any number of sentiments, papers, images, you name it, to create an awesome card!  Be sure to stop by the Paper Players blog to see what the other designers created with it....once you get some inspiration, share yours with us too!  Can't wait to see what you create!  Thanks for popping in today!

We have had some amazing weather here in SE PA, although I do think our gardens could use a bit of rain!  Wayne and Cassidy did some after-dinner fishing at a local county park recently, while Dana took a nice long walk:

And fishing is always better when you actually catch one!

Enjoy your day and be blessed!

TTTC175 Bright Hello

Hello again, stampers!  Tic Tac Toe time, and here is our awesome grid for this week from Team X:

Back again with some Pierced Blooms and that marvelous Stitched Greenery die...is this bright enough for you?

I used the middle row across of Leaves, Circle and Embossing for my creation today!  I embossed a piece of Granny Apple Green with the Greenery die, then paired it with some Granny Apple Green DSP.  My Daffodil Delight flowers are on top of a gingham circle:

and my sentiment from Biggest Wish was stamped on a Tailored Tags die and tied with some Playful Pets baker's twine.  I added some leaves diecut from the DSP as well, and added Basic Black centers!

I think this is a great card just to cheer someone up!  Thanks for popping in today, and be sure to check out what the others from Team X created at the Tic Tac Toe challenge ! You can see them all HERE.
Enjoy your day and be blessed!

IB175 Hello Baby Hearts

Hi everyone!  Happy Thursday!  Time for a sweet new Inspired By challenge!  Look at this cute photo inspiration:

LOL, the title of the challenge is "Hello Baby Flowers" but I was lazy and chose "Hello Baby Hearts" for my card today!  There are several new "hello" sentiments in the SU catalog this year, and I put all the ones I had to use for my card today:

I found a last little piece of multi-colored hearts DSP in my stash, so I diecut that and added a Soft Sky scalloped mat and decorated it with some hearts and rhinestones:

I used my Stamparatus to get really good coverage with some Craft White ink, and heat-embossed my sentiments, then added another little gem:

I love the simplicity of this...and the inspiration photo leads to any number of interpretations!  Be sure to check out the DT samples....they're AMAZING!  You can see them here at the Inspired By blog!  Thanks for visiting today!

Cassidy made Dana's lunch for her:

Sweet!  Enjoy your day and be blessed!

GDP292 Shaded Summer

Happy Wednesday, everyone!  I have another delightful floral card for you today using (again) Shaded Summer, along with some Hand Penned DSP and a sentiment from Celebrate Sunflowers:

I used the sketch from the Global Design Project, which was to CASE the Designer:

I stamped the floral images in Mint Macaron, diecut them with a Stitched Shape circle die, then stamped them again in Blushing Bride, and fussy-cut some out, layering them on top of the Mint Macaron images:

My sentiment was a wee bit too long to fit into the Tailored Tags die, so I partially cut it out, then repositioned it and finished cutting it to make it longer.  I added some perle cotton and mounted everything on this pretty striped DSP.  For a little sparkle, I added some Whale of a Time sequins.  Thanks so much for popping in today!

My topiary rose bush has tons of buds on it and here's the first bloom:

Isn't that pale pink just beautiful!  Now if only the bugs don't eat all the leaves!!!  Thanks for popping in today..enjoy it and be blessed!

Fab Friday 213 Above & Beyond

Happy Tuesday, peeps!  I did my civic duty this morning and voted in our primary election.  Voting has always been important, but even more so now!  I also got in some stamping yesterday (that's important too!) and wanted to share some new goodies I got!  I didn't get the Sweet as a Peach stamp, but I did get the VERY pretty You're A Peach DSP, and that's what I am using on my card today!  First, it uses the sketch from Fab Friday:

And here we go:

Pretty straightforward; I let the DSP do most of the work!  The sentiment is from Shaded Summer, stamped in Mossy Meadow; I diecut it with the Tailored Tags die, repositioning it in the Big Shot after the first cut to cut off the top portion so I got a nicely finished rectangle:

My simple embellishments were fussy-cutting some of the flowers from a scrap of DSP and adhering them to the side, then adding a strip of coordinating Pansy Petals DSP behind it.  I did add a Balmy Blue scallop rectangle too, even though that die is retired, I will keep on using it, LOL!  It all went on a Pale Papaya card base.  I love these colors together!

So my sweet friend Fran from Connecticut shared these robin pictures with me and with her permissions, I am sharing them with you!  She has a nest right outside her window and has been watching the mama robin sitting on her eggs, and now they've hatched, so her mothering chores have been amped up, feeding the little ones:

It's not often we get such an up-close personal view, so thanks, Fran!  It is a blessing to see nature at work!  Enjoy your day and be blessed, and thanks for popping by!

Santa Silhouette

Happy Monday, peeps!  I had a non-stamping weekend, so I am a wee bit late posting today!  I found a few challenges with which to create my simple Christmas card today:  the Christmas Kickstart wants Santa and friends; Less is More has a sketch challenge; and Krafty Chicks wants Christmas!

So here we go:

My Santa and elves image is from TCP Christmas Silhouettes, which I stamped in Mossy Meadow, then diecut with a Stitched Rectangle die.  I added a stitched star diecut (Paper Rose) and a sentiment from Concord & 9th's Joyful Noel:

I added a Holiday Rhinestone gem to the center of the star, and the papers I used are from Simple Stories' Simple Vintage Christmas, mounted on a Mossy Meadow card.

Dana sent me this photo as she was taking a walk early Saturday morning; this isn't at her house, but a neighbor's.  This little opossum must have been taking a walk too!

Thanks so much for popping in today! Enjoy it and be blessed!

PP541 Clean and Simple Polka Dots

Happy Sunday, all!  Anne Marie is our Paper Players hostess this week with a CAS challenge, and it is true Anne Marie...I know how she likes polka dots....me too!

This challenge gave me a chance to use another new goodie from the SU catalog called Checks and Dots Embossing Folder:

Can you see that sweet little row of embossed dots?

I also used the colors from Hand Stamped Sentiments for my Pierced Blooms flowers:

and I added some Rainbow Glimmer paper centers, a Basic Borders stitched border and a sweet little Tailored Tags tag, stamped with a "hello" from the new Best Year set!

I hope you'll play along with our CAS challenge and get out your polka dots!  Should be a fun one, and I can't wait to see what you create!  Be sure to share it with us at the Paper Players blog!  Enjoy your day and be blessed!
