Watercolor Poinsettia

Happy Wednesday, peeps!  What a whirlwind week I have had….four stamping events within a week’s time!  But I had fun---two clubs and two camps—and now I can start stamping just for me!!  I had ten minutes before one club started, and I threw this together FAST….stamped the Joyful Christmas poinsettia image on watercolor paper, dabbled on the colors with ink and an aquapainter, stamped the speckle from Gorgeous Grunge, mounted it on a Very Vanilla card base,  and I was finished:

I did go back later on and add some glitter to the centers…I just thought they looked a wee bit bare!  Thanks for stopping by today!

Happy Tuesday, peeps!  Arielle has a fun inspiration photo for us today, which I had just posted to my Pinterest page myself!!!

Maybe someday I could paint up some cute little acorns like this!!  They sure are sweet!  I had some wonderful little autumn squares that were begging to be used for a Thanksgiving card:

I colored the images in the challenge colors with reinkers and a blender pen:

I added some embossing and a bannered sentiment, and I used the Stampin’ Celebration sketch 72 for this week for my layout:

We were given a case of red peppers…..well, they were almost red!  Cassidy was quite enamored of this multi-colored one!

Merry Monday 84

Woohoo, it’s Monday!  Hope you had a terrific weekend….and ready for another Merry Monday challenge:

I had had this idea kicking around in my head for a while: to use a pennant die to make a tree.  When I saw Lesley’s challenge, I knew this was the time:

I cut out the pennant from some MME Lost & Found Christmas paper, backing it with some champagne glimmer paper.  It looked a bit plain, so I punched out some little circles from the same papers to make “ornaments”.  The sentiment is from Amy R’s Handy Christmas Greetings:

The final touch was a rustic star!  I was also inspired by the photo at  Inspired By #96:

Happy Sunday, peeps!  Hope you are having a marvelous weekend!  Nance is our hostess today for the Paper Players and here is the fine challenge she has for us:

I knew immediately what I wanted to do when I saw this challenge, as my sweet blogging friend Tracey had just sent me some lovely diecut leaves!  She was most generous, so I looked through my stash and found some that matched this fun polka-dotted paper and went to work:

I added a stitched mat in Marina Mist and a little tag with a PTI birthday sentiment, and I was done!

This is one of my favorite CAS cards ever!  How will you interpret this challenge?  Our designers have come up with some clever creations that I hope you’ll check out:

A Crafty Sort of Day

Happy Saturday, peeps!  I feel like I have been MIA here lately….quite a busy month for me, but hopefully by next week it will ease up!  I apologize for not stopping by your blogs and commenting….but I have been looking!  I have a couple crafty items to show you today.  Tomorrow is my great-niece’s birthday, so I altered a little photo album I picked up at a big box store:

I used some diecut letters and a snowflake along with a Sweet & Sassy sentiment set!  And here is her card, using the sketch from CAS(e) This Sketch:

This worked up very quickly since these cute Storybook Friends images are already adorable!

My friend Beth (who NEEDS her own blog!) was hostess this week for stamp club and she made all the members one of these fabulous candy favors using items from the Thankful Tablescape kit:

These candies look too good to eat!!!

And finally, I got a little wooden turkey kit, painted him up and decorated him with some DP scraps; the sentiment is from My Creative Time and is fastened with repositionable tape so it can be removed!

Happy Birthday, Anne Marie

Happy Thursday, peeps!  And what a special Thursday it is today!  Today is my sweet friend Anne Marie’s birthday!!!  And Lesley has set up a very special blog hop for her!!  Woohoo!

Anne Marie is a Paper Players teammate, and she is not only a very talented stamper, but she has a heart of gold and is very active in fostering dogs and cats that need a forever home!  So I am thrilled to help Lesley participate in this special event today!  You can find more details about this on the Dynamic Duos blog today….and we hope you will link up and wish Anne Marie a big Happy Birrthday as well!

I know that AM loves pink, but I wanted to do something DIFFERENT!!  So I went with a pretty Coastal Cabana card, highlighted with SILVER glimmer accents:

I used some Winter Frost DP (it’s not just for Christmas!!) a scallop from the Perfect Pennants die, some ruffled ribbon and a sentiment from A Fitting Occasion:

I also used my stamp-a-ma-jig to reposition the words from a sentiment from A Dozen Thoughts so that it would fit in my circle punch:

and I used a perfect set of sentiments from Perfect Pairs for the inside, along with a big silver glimmer heart, because Anne Marie has such a big heart herself:
