Happy Monday, stamping friends! A new fun sketch from Atlantic Hearts is ours today:
A square sketch is always fun--just a wee bit different! Since I knew I had a banner die that would be perfect for this card, I chose some bright, cheerful glossy prints for my layers to create a child's birthday card:
Pretty straightforward; I just cut some of the bright prints and adhered them to a Granny Apple Green 4 1/4" square card base, then added the diecut banner. The birthday die was cut from some Daffodil Delight cardstock and I added a wee little heart-shaped resin embellishment over the "i"!
Since the front of the card was lacking anything too exciting, I decided to do a pop-up element on the inside with some diecut balloons and a strip of clear acetate:
In hindsight, using a balloon punch probably would have been easier; I had to add a backing piece since the diecut was an inlay and my pieces had nothing to hold on to! I managed to assemble it and adhere it to the acetate; it doesn't lay 100% flat, but it'll do!
And a birthday sentiment from Waffle Flower finished it off!
I hope you'll play along with our Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge sketch this week! See you at the blog! And thanks for popping in today! Enjoy it and be blessed!
