AYSI335 Thinking of You Tag Collage

Happy Tuesday, peeps!  The As You See It Challenge is a recipe, and although I had an idea in my head for it, it sort of morphed into something else! Here's the recipe prompt:

This is a great "recipe" for a fall card! I recently ordered some goodies from Unity and they sent me a nice little brown paper bag full of goodies to play with! I promptly put some of them to work on my card:

The orange-hued paper was my starting point (from Unity!); I mounted it on a Crumb Cake card on which I embossed two little lines of cross stitching.  The paper bag (again from Unity) was cut into a tag, stamped with a sentiment, and embossed with the Dashing Designs embossing folder.  I added a second tag, punched from a Pecan Pie piece of cardstock that was stamped with a tag stamp from Close to My Heart.

The gold metallic leaf was also from Unity; I anchored it with a retired glimmer brad. There are acetate elements on the tag and behind it to add to the fall feeling! Finally, a bit of brown gingham ribbon to finish it off.

This might become a sympathy card, or maybe a birthday card....I'll add an inside sentiment when I need it!  I haven't done one of these collage-style cards in a while, so it was fun to pull some interesting pieces together!  Thanks so much for popping in today!  Enjoy it and be blessed!

Hi Leslie! Thought I'd return the visit and leave you some love on this beautiful card while browsing your blog. Your fall card morphed into something stunning! I love all the texture and patterns. Collage style is one of my favorite styles, as anything goes. The double stitched edge is such a great touch to the background. Subtle but still noticeable. A gorgeous card for either of the occasions you mentioned.

LeAnne, those folks at Unity knew just who would put that collection of goodies to beautiful use! I see brilliant colors of Autumn and the acetate pieces are perfect for a fall collection!
Of course, you must know by now that I love those darling 'stitches' right?

My word! This is just brilliant! The richness of that orange tree dsp is amazing, especially against the crumb cake. That cross stitched line of embossing is wonderful, the tag with the cluster of gorgeous things.... it's a perfect use of the recipe elements. Thank you for joining us at As You See It.
