Pretty Petals Thank You

Hi everyone!  We made it to the middle of the week!  I have a quick, easy card today, just a reminder that the products in the current SU catalog will soon be retiring!  Pretty Petals was one of my favorite little paper pads in this year's catalog, but there were some of the patterns and colors that were more of a favorite than the others, LOL!  SO, I challenged myself to use a pattern that was not one of my favorites, and this is what I made:

I had started with a challenge sketch but it was due to run out by the time I was going to post this, so I just sort of added a couple things to it on my own.  The sentiment is from an older Paper Pumpkin set, and the washi tape and flower punch are also retired.  I used some thick baker's twine in Vanilla and added a cool enamel dot for the center of the flower:

The bold graphic look to this paper kind of grew on me....I ended up liking this card a lot!  Thanks for popping in today!

And look what popped into my craft room early yesterday morning!  Fresh as a strawberry!  A lot of you have commented on how grown-up Cassidy looks, and we have definitely been going through some "growing pains" lately!  We have had to be a wee bit more strict about a few things, and getting dressed in the morning was one of them!  So far, she has learned that if she doesn't follow the rules, there are consequences and my DD is very good about enforcing the rules!  And you know, kids are smart...they figure it out pretty quickly when Mom means business!  So Cassidy's been picking out her own clothes and getting dressed as soon as she wakes up!  This year, she has afternoon kindergarten, so next year when she starts full-day first grade, that habit will already be in place!

Enjoy your day!

LeAnne, I will be honest ... I am not a blue fan - but you've changed my mindset with this one!!! So fresh, and love it with the white and black tag - and that fab washi tape! Cassidy does look sweet... good job!!

If this is what you do with materials that don't inspire you, I am impressed!!! It's darlin'
Cassidy looks cute as a button! Smart momma for enforcing the rules from the get go! It'll make the teen years (when it's kids' jobs to test the limits) so much easier.
