While at Sandy’s last week, we found a new challenge, Can You Case It? At least it was new to me! Here’s the sketch from this week:
I needed a nice “just because” card, so I searched through some of my papers and found a couple of pretty pieces from the Lullaby DSP line, so I went to work:
I pulled out the colors of Baked Brown Sugar, Pistachio Pudding, Coastal Cabana and Hello Honey for my layers and elements. The vertical panel is the banner from Amazing Birthday, which I trimmed down; and the butterflies are from Papillion Potpourri. I stamped the sentiment from A Dozen Thoughts on a torn piece of Pistachio Pudding, then colored some pearls gold with a retired Zig Painty pen and added some gold baker’s twine:
I love the combination of colors in this paper!
In keeping with her propensity to line things up, Cassidy decided to string up the pumpkins on our porch:

Oh my goodness could Cassidy be any cuter. What a great idea. A string of pumpkins. I use to have pumpkin lights in my classroom.
I love the card. Another great layout too. I need to make a bunch of birthday cards this month. I have to come back and do some lifting. LOL
Have a great Monday!
Le Anne, thanks for joining us for the first time, Your design is wonderful. The butterflies are so sweet and your choice of color, dsp and embellishments are outstanding. Thanks for joining us at www.canyoucaseit.com : ) Eva
Really pretty card. Love how you combined the papers! Great composition.
I like the colors you used LeAnne, this is so pretty! That little floral butterfly is super sweet. I think Cassidy will grow into a great organizer...a place for everything and everything "lined up" in it's place!!! Trust me, I get that and am always straightening things LOL!!!
This is so pretty. You did an amazing job with our sketch. Love the butterfly and the twine is a perfect touch. Thanks for joining us at Can You Case It?
