Happy Monday, everyone! This week I am the hostess at Merry Monday; it will be my last time to be hostess, too, as I am stepping down from the MM at the end of the month! I want to thank Lesley for asking me to be one of the original participants; we’ve had a lot of fun and shared a lot of creativity over the last couple of years!
My challenge this week is Silent Night:
Silent night is one of my favorite Christmas hymns, and I am looking forward to seeing all the submissions this week! Here is mine, using the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches this week:
Here’s the sketch:
I used a retired image from SU’s To You & Yours, stamped in Lost Lagoon; the DSP is All is Calm. The sentiment is a retired Cornish Heritage Farms one, stamped in White Craft ink and embossed with white embossing powder on a piece of Soft Sky cardstock. I added a sparkly snowflake as well:
On the inside, I stamped a sentiment from another retired set, Let Sleigh Bells Ring, stamping it over the dove image from To You & Yours:
I love these colors together, and I am thrilled to have another Christmas card to add to my stash! Be sure to check out the Merry Monday blog to see how the other designers interpreted this challenge, and share yours with us too!
We took a walk to feed the horses last week:

Love this, LeAnne! The colors you used are so evocative of winter and "Silent Night." I also love how you combined all of the different stamp sets so effortlessly, something I still struggle with! I will try to play along with this particular challenge as it is the last one you are hostessing.

This is so pretty LeAnne. The white embossing with these papers and the glittery soft snowflake create the look and feel of a "Silent Night". I love Silent Night also (plus it was one of my late husbands' favourite Christmas hymns). I would love to play along this week for that reason and to honour your last time as hostess for Merry Monday.
