TSOT178 Birthday

Happy Wednesday, peeps!  Boy, this week is flying by!  I seem to need a lot of birthday cards this month, so I put the sketch at Try Stampin’ on Tuesday  to use for my card today!  Here’s the sketch:

I did flip it, because I wanted to use a sentiment from the set we got at convention, Amazing Birthday:

LeAnne Pugliese WeeInklings Awesome Birthday Stampin Up Flower Patch

I already had some vellum on my desk from my MM card, so I embossed the sentiment in white and mounted it on top of a pretty floral from the All Abloom DP stack.  I didn’t want to cover up all those flowers!  I added some piercing around my Strawberry Slush frame:

And I finished it off with some sequins and a Daffodil Delight Flower Patch image….it’s the largest flower, and I cut off the outside petals to make it smaller!  Thanks so much for visiting today!

A couple people noticed that Cassidy wasn’t at the birthday party, and that’s right…she was at her daddy’s this past weekend!  But she is here today, eating leftover cupcakes and whatever else she can find, LOL!  Here she is last week, helping wash off the plethora of produce that our garden is spewing out:

And this is only a little bit of it!  Stamping AND gardening in the summer…it’s hard to get it all done!  But I did find a great lemon zucchini bread recipe!  If anyone wants it, let me know and I’ll email it to you!!  Make sure you give me your email address!!!

  1. What a great treat to come and comment on your card and see all the fun pictures of your daughter this summer. Great Memories. I love the use of vellum and embossing on your card. It's so colorful and cheery. Thank you so much for dropping by and sharing your art with us at Try Stampin' on Tuesday. Please do come back soon.

  2. I would love the recipe.

  3. LeAnne, I love the inspiration you share on your blog. Such gorgeous projects. Thanks for sharing! I also enjoy seeing the photos of Cassidy! Precious girl. Your garden produce is amazing. If you come across a Zucchini Pineapple Bread recipe you might want to try it out! We just love it! Thanks again!

  4. Beautiful card and love how you put the vellum on and still be able to see the gorgeous paper behind.
Cassidy is growing up so fast. She is getting to be quite the little helper.
Would love to have the recipe for lemon zucchini bread. Thank you

  5. I watch your site and like watching your grand daughter
growing up. Would you sent me the lemon zucchini recipe.

    Thank you,

  6. Your posts are always so inspiring and I, too, love watching Cassidy grow. Amazing how time flies. Please send me the lemon zucchini recipe as well. Thank you! :)

  7. Oh what a beautiful card LeAnne. Don't you just love the All Abloom Papers? I know I do;) The white embossing on the vellum is so pretty and I love that you can still see the paper through it. I'm happy to see you using sequins;) I love using them and sometimes have to stop myself from using them.
You must be so happy to have Cassidy back. She is such a good helper isn't she. That is a beautiful bunch of zucchini.

  8. That vellum is a great idea..perfect for this card! So cute!

She looks like such a good little garden helper!

  9. This car is oozing with summer prettiness LeAnne!! Looks like a bumper crop of cucumbers and zucchini your little helper is washing!

  10. I love the card with brights and vellum. I really enjoy watching Cassidy grow up, she's such a cutie and so full of energy. I would like to try the zucchini recipe, too. We are also getting zucchini from the garden.

  11. Oh wow, your card is so bright and cheery LeAnne. Glad your garden is doing so well. We need some warm weather to get the tomatoes turning. Cassidy is really growing up isn't she? Have a good day and hope you are getting some rest.

  12. Beautiful card! Love the colors and the mix of designer papers. Awesome pictures of your daughter and your garden goodies too! :)

  13. lemon zucchini bread sounds yummy - yes, I'd love the recipe. Wonderful card as always - and our little Miss C in fantastic - love that kiddo!

  14. I love the card. It's perfect for a summer birthday. I have to use vellum more often.
You are so lucky to be getting produce from the garden, ours seems to be stunted this year, or the bunnies ate it. I'd love the lemon zucchini bread recipe.

  15. Beautiful card w/ wonderful colors! I love how you embossed on the vellum. I've been wanting to try that, but am worried I'll warp the vellum. You're pictures make me miss my garden. We moved to the desert recently & now I can't even keep basil alive. Sigh... Oh, and happy Birthday!! I entered the Merry Monday "Birthday" challenge in your honor!

  16. Sorry about the last comment, brains not working very well today! lol!

Gorgeous card, love the stamping on velum, really need to have a go as I have never tried it before....thanks for the inspiration!

  20. A most beautiful flower card, LeAnne! I love the embossing on the vellum and the paper piercing, which I know I don't do nearly enough of myself! Thanks for sharing and for playing with the challenge at Try Stampin on Tuesday.

  21. Such a cheerful card! Love the techniques used!

  22. I'll take that lemon zucchini bread recipe, please!! Just cut three HUGE zukes off my vine the other day. I think they might be Eight Ball variety. The plant just showed up in my garden bed, like a miracle (probably from a bird), and is about 10 or 12 feet across!

  23. such a pretty card and i love use of vellum :) you have one cute girl too!! So glad you joined us on Try Stampin' on Tuesday this week!
