HSS182 Sympathy

DSCF1644

Believe it or not, I needed three sympathy cards yesterday!  I used the Hand Stamped Sentiments sketch for two of them:

I used a piece of Quatrefancy Specialty DP for the main panel; Betsy Blossoms and Petite Pairs for the stamped pieces, and diecuts from Beautiful Wings for my embellishment:

And here’s the inside; I inked the flower in Pool Party, stamped it once on my scrap, then again on the inside, stamping the sentiment in Island Indigo over top:

I like how it ties it all together!

For my second one, I used some MME papers, a retired Cornish Heritage Farm Bible verse and the flowers and swirl from Everything Eleanor:

After stamping the flowers in Primrose Petals, I cut apart some of the petals, sponged everything and popped up the top layer:

My sentiment was stamped in Basic Gray and cut out with an Apothecary Accent die.  I am also submitting this to the Anything Goes Challenge at Word Art Wednesday!   Thanks for visiting today!

More play-doh fun!  I think this was a plate of “mashed potatoes” for Grampy!

Enjoy your day!

Two lovelies today, but I must admit I'm partial to the colors and papers on the first! I love that inside sentiment too!
I've been enjoying Cassidy's photos as she's entertaining herself with snowmen, tea parties and mashed potatoes! She's such a cutie pie and I've loved watching her grow up through your pictures!!

Pretty cards LeAnne! It's a shame what they were needed for, those are the hard ones to make. The second is my fave, love the colors!

These are both so pretty. I love the scripture stamp so much., all your colors are so nice, too, and I know they'll brighten the day of the recipient. I like an inspirational, uplifting sympathy card! Thanks for playing at HSS!

Mmm...mmm... mashed potatoes! My favorite. We moved to AZ just before 7th grade so they had an orientation for all the new kids, everyone had to go around and find out one fact about the others. The school counselor was there and she came up and asked me my favorite food. I told her mashed potatoes. She said, "Oh, that's not normal, honey, you better say 'pizza.'" That's when I learned that junior high school was a whole other ball game!!!

Your cards are gorgeous!
