AYSI270 Spotlight on Spring Flowers

Happy Friday, peeps!  Hope you are all doing well.  We have a theme challenge for you this week at As You See It:

My spring flowers are just beginning to pop their little sprouts out of our beds, so we have nothing that looks like this yet!  But I thought the flowers in the Quiet Meadow set would look nice in green and yellow, so here we go:

Rather than color the flowers individually, I stamped the image in Garden Green and used the large circle from Watercolor Shapes and stamped it in Daffodil Delight over the flowers, creating a kind of spotlight effect!  It was quick and easy!  I did add a little more color to the petals with a yellow watercolor pencil, then added some sequins for fun.  I used papers from the Heart and Home DSP line, added some Smoky Slate scallops and a wee bit of Daffodil Delight ribbon before adding my sentiment:

My sketch is from Freshly Made Sketches:

This could be used for so many occasions....sympathy, birthday, hello!  I hope you'll find some spring-like inspiration from our challenge this week and share your creations with us at As You See It as well!  Thanks for popping in today!  Enjoy your day and be blessed.  And pray for the Ukraine!

"Trust in the Lord and do good; swell in the land and enjoy safe pasture.  Delight yourself in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart." Psalm 37:3-4

This is so pretty with a great color combo, and I love how you spotlighted the floral image too! Great take on that sketch as well as the spring flowers challenge! Those poor flowers may be covered with white stuff tomorrow :(

Such a beautiful floral sprig - I love the way you spotlighted it. And the neutral and woodgrain in the background are a wonderful accent. Thank you for playing along with us at Freshly Made Sketches.
