CR84FN28 & SSSC117

DSCF6265

Since the Paper Players extended their challenge, I had a wee bit of time today to play in a couple other challenges.  Although I am not really feeling the love for this card, it is one I will add to my birthday stash…..it is bright & colorful, I will say that.  I began with the Sweet Sunday sketch #117:

and the CR84FN28 color challenge:

I was also going to submit this for a new challenge, CAS-ual Fridays, but it wasn’t really CAS!!!  So I’ll try that again later this week!  I used two PTI sets along with some October Afternoon and Cosmo Cricket papers. Since Stazon doesn’t work well with clear stamps, I did some experimenting with Palette ink and my watercolor crayons on Shimmery White cardstock.  My first few petals bled until I heat-set the ink and I had no more problems!  I used some baker’s twine from Tammy, my new Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer punch and some Brights buttons along with some rickrack from my sewing stash!

I babysat today, which is not something I usually do on Sundays.  They called for heavy downpours—they got it wrong.  It was beautiful!  Dana tried to accessorize Cassidy in a “Hawaiian” theme:

It lasted about two seconds!  LOL!  Thanks so much for visiting today!

PPA90 & CR84FN24 Christmas

DSCF0694

Quick post as I have a busy day!  In trying to keep up with my weekly Christmas card, the Pals Paper Arts sketch was a needed boost:

I also used the colors from CR84FN24:

After that, it all went downhill!  I just couldn’t get the thought in my head to translate to my card.  It is what it is:

Between the baby not cooperating and my glitter, glue & Versamark not cooperating, I finally just hung it up!  I think I have too many other things going on today to concentrate!  Before I go though, I thought I’d share some totally opposite-seasoned photos I took yesterday at Longwood Gardens.  It was almost 80 degrees, so it was just too good a day to stay inside:141_5133
