I found some pictures on my other camera, taken while my SIL was babysitting her granddaughters. Cassidy seems very “grown-up” next to Maggie and Lucy….and she likes to organize their play too! Unfortunately, Maggie doesn’t take direction too well, LOL!

Happy Tuesday, everyone! Anyone else struggling to get back into the stamping mode? I sure am! I need a bunch of thank you cards, and I had a few scraps sitting on my desk, so I made ONE simple card….only several more to go, LOL! One of the “scraps” was a butterfly using the new Butterflies thinlit die; the other was a piece of Confetti Celebration from the last card I made (my desk is so messy!), so I combined them with a new SAB set, Simply Wonderful:
Honestly, this is so simple I am almost embarrassed to post it, but my customers love simple, so this is for them! I added a jumbo pearl for interest…that’s it! And this qualifies for the ShowCASe Your Style challenge this week, which is to use a diecut!
Dana’s been on vacation, so I haven’t had Cassidy this week, but I did snag this photo on Christmas eve of her wearing Grampy’s hat; silly girl!
And on Christmas day, at my sister’s, my niece’s Great Dane Grover decided to “sit” on Dana’s lap!!! He thinks he is little, LOL!
Enjoy your day!

MOJO377
Happy Saturday, peeps! I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday….I think I did a bit of a crash and burn yesterday….phew! Too much fun on Wednesday! We laughed, ate, played games, ate some more…..lots of Christmas memories! Anyway, I forced myself to do some stamping (LOL) because today is our Christmas with John’s family and his SIL has a birthday, so I was itching to play with some new SAB stuff that will be coming in January! This cute set is called Big Day and I’ve paired it with some Confetti Celebration DSP:
The images are stamped in Tangelo Twist with accents of Soft Sky, and I even have a little bit of Strawberry Slush peeking out….that fun DSP has a lot of colors in it! I did a bit of “ombre” coloring on the words, too:
And of course, the cake is all glittery:
I used the Mojo Monday sketch for this week:
There are a couple of fun sentiments for the inside too (which I forgot to photograph): “and perhaps a little ice cream”….and “Happy Birthday”!!! This is a great versatile birthday set to earn with your $50 purchase! Starts Jan 6!
Cassidy was in doll heaven this Christmas! Between Baby Alive, LalaLoopsie, Our Generation (like American Girl dolls) and Frozen, I believe she got seven or eight dolls….and clothing and accessories, diapers that produced charms, real food that ended up in real diapers…..oh my goodness, her head was whirling! They’re on vacation this week, so she’ll have lots of time to play! Here are a couple of shots:

It’s all real to her! The little mommy! Enjoy your day!

Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas to everyone! This beautiful postcard is from Germany, and it translates to “Blessed Christmas”! That is what I wish each and every one of you, as well as a happy, healthy and prosperous 2015!
I thought I would share a couple of pictures from my past; I am thinking this is probably 1956, at my maternal grandmother’s house; I think I was about two years old. She was a remarkable woman, very crafty and a talented homemaker, although she was pretty strict. I am sad that I didn’t get to know the crafty side of her until I was in my late teens and she passed away when I was 21. I am sure we would have had lots of crafting fun! Anyway, the first picture is not so great of ME (I have my eyes closed!), but I wanted you to look at the tree; my grandmother had my grandfather cut down an entire cherry tree and put it up in the “parlor” where she wrapped each & every branch with cotton, decorated it with ornaments, then set up a whole winter scene beneath it. I still have all those figurines, too! This was in addition to the regular tree in the living room! AND she made dozens and dozens of Christmas cookies and all sorts of other goodies!
Thanks for indulging me a wee bit! Merry Christmas!

Happy Christmas Eve, everyone! I have a few last-minute things to do, but basically, just about everything is done for tomorrow! I had some stamping time yesterday too….unfortunately, I needed a sympathy card, as life and death know no holidays! I had some paper and a big seam binding bow sitting on my desk, unused from a previous project, and they were perfect for the Nacho Average Challenge this week, which was a sketch:
From there, it was an easy card to make:
This pattern from the All is Calm series actually has snowflakes on it, but I think it is still appropriate enough to use for a sympathy card. I mounted the banner on a Smoky Slate card, added a couple of butterflies from Papillion Potpourri, and a sentiment from Petite Pairs. I also embossed my card and added some pearls. I dyed some white seam binding with Sahara Sand ink, but I think it still coordinates with the Smoky Slate:
And since I had this washi tape on my desk from my Paper Pumpkin, I added a strip along with the inside sentiment:
Hope your preparations are almost finished and you can relax a bit today! Tonight we will have our candlelight service at church, one of my favorite events! There is nothing like a darkened church with real candlelight and voices singing “Silent Night”! I hope you have a blessed Christmas eve!
“Lining up” all the Nativity figures…she just loves lining things up!
Check out those Santa pjs too!

Happy Birthday, Gail!
Happy Monday everyone! Today is my sister Gail’s birthday (yes, December is a busy birthday month for us!) and she is one of my biggest fans; she loves my paper crafts, loves to shop yard sales, and is a great encourager! She flew up from South Carolina for my birthday this summer and helped tremendously! She is a lot of fun to be around too!
She loves vintage stuff too so I made her another altered Altoid tin for her birthday:
Here’s the back:
And the inside:
Santa has several layers, and lots of sparkle and glitter; his “snow” is a piece of quilt batting covered with vintage glitter:
And the other side is also layered and glittered:
All the images were from Crafty Secret’s Retro Christmas CD, except for the back sticker, which I think was from Melissa Frances. As always, I had a blast creating it and I hope she likes it! If you have any questions, shoot me an email!
Yesterday afternoon my daughter’s half-brother and his girlfriend came for a visit; he travels a lot and lives in FL, and we don’t see him much, so this was a real treat for us! He held up well, playing with Cassidy, helping her make sand art and just being a great uncle!
Enjoy your day!

Happy Sunday, peeps! The Paper Players team is taking some time off, so I wasn’t really planning to have a card today, but since I have been awake since 4am, I decided to put that time to stamping use! I saw a sweet sketch at Match the Sketch:
and used it to create a really simple card with some of my hoarded silver and white All is Calm DSP:
The metallics are so hard to photograph, but I hope you can see how shiny it is! I also used a silver foil snowflake from November’s Paper Pumpkin kit as well as the snowflake image from the coordinating stamp set. I have to admit that this was one of the nicest PP kits ever! LOTS of fun stuff in there and I haven’t even used it all up! I did color one of the rhinestones although it’s difficult to see here, but you can see the snowflake stamped in Lost Lagoon on the white circle, and it was colored lightly with a Soft Sky marker:
I also embossed the Brushed Silver panel with the retired Snowburst embossing folder! Hope your day is super! We have a brunch at church and then some company coming to visit, so it is going to be a fun day!
Cassidy went to see some Christmas lights at a local farm, then got an early gift from one of Dana’s friends:
Check out those Hello Kitty pjs!

Just a quick little post today….my main focus this Saturday will be WRAPPING!!! And I still have some shopping and baking to do too! Yikes! Anyway, I couldn’t pass up this beautiful inspiration photo from Just Add Ink this week:
I made a birthday card using the set Midwinter from Artistic Outpost; I usually use it for Christmas cards, but I thought it was a lovely image to use for a birthday as well:
I stamped the scene in Chocolate Chip ink, adding a few more trees in the background with Crumb Cake by masking off the cabin with some post-it notes. I added a sentiment from Papertrey, some narrow burlap ribbon and some snowy glitter.
Thanks for visiting today!
The sun has been MIA for about a week, so when it turned bright yesterday afternoon, we went outside….still cold, cold, cold, but at least we got some fresh air!
So much fresh air, that as soon as Cassidy got into the car to go home, this happened:
She’s asleep in her car seat…..totally out….head practically on her lap!!! LOL!

Happy Thursday, peeps! I have one more Christmas card…can you believe it? I still am thinking of people I’ve missed! This one is for a couple from my church who are celebrating their first Christmas as newlyweds! She was a music major in college, so I thought she would enjoy this card. I used some leftover digital musical paper I had printed for another project, and the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches:
and here we go:
I used some other scraps of DSP from my plethora of 6x6 pads; the vertical piece is stamped with a Unity single stamp called Rejoice for our Silent Night; the circular panel is stamped with the words from The Sounding Joy (ret. SU) and the “joy” diecut is from Lil’Inker:
I added some gold glimmer stars and a little bit of Cherry Cobbler seam binding ribbon to complete my card! Thanks for visiting today!
We attempted to make gingerbread cookies yesterday; Cassidy quickly got bored with the rolling and cutting part, which is the part I thought she would like, and she couldn’t handle the piping, but she definitely got into the sprinkles:
and the eating!
They weren’t the most beautiful cookies, but she had fun!
