MIM 140

DSCF8293

Happy Wednesday, everyone!  Just a little Halloween card today, based on the sketch from The Kraft Journal this week. Here’s the sketch:

I hadn’t done anything vintagey for a while, so I pulled out a couple of stamp sets and went to work!

I colored my image with SU markers; the mat and stars are pieces of black cardstock covered with SU’s Adhesive Sheets and sprinkled with the black glitter from the Holiday mini!  Love it! The owl's eyes are also sparkly, which you can see in the photo.   I also added some glitter to the stars on the stamped image:

The striped panel was brayered with Crumb Cake ink so as not to be so bright and to keep with the krafty look of my card!

And here’s the inside:

Our leaves haven’t quite begun to turn colors, but they are falling and Cassidy was quite excited to see them on the ground!

Last year, she had to ring the wind chimes with a stick….this year she can reach up and touch them!

Make It Monday 137

DSCF7792

Happy Wednesday, everyone!  The Kraft Journal has a sketch for us this week!  Here it is:

I had gotten a sweet little pad of 6x6 fall papers by Simple Stories, and I couldn’t wait to dive into it!  The patchwork and gingham made me think of the Perfectly Preserved set, so I mixed them all up and this is what came out:

It’s a little more “fussy” than I usually do, but I think it’s kinda fun!  Here’s some closeups:

And while I was at it, I made some mini cards; just a quarter sheet of Crumb Cake cardstock folded in half with some Gingham wheel accents and some small images from the same paper pad:

The sentiment is from A Dozen Thoughts….they make cute little notecards to tuck into someone’s lunch or gift bag!  When I get my Envelope Punch Board, I can make envelopes too!  It’s on my next order!

Have a happy day!

TSOT93 with Make It Monday

DSCF0986

I hope everyone in the US had a wonderful Thanksgiving day!  It was nice to spend time with my family.  I did have a little stamping time, and I got some new stampin’ goodies that were itching to get inky!  I was just playing around with some scraps when I stumbled on the Try Stampin on Tuesday sketch for this week:

And here we go:

Isn’t that the cutest little tree…..as well as the heart?  I probably should have reversed the colors, but as I said, I was just sort of playing around!

My next one uses a pretty reindeer image with some embossed backgrounds and a vintage newspaper designer paper:

I’m entering this one in The Kraft Journal’s Make It Monday: Holiday Cards!

I have an awesome stash of Christmas cards to send this year!  Remember, if you have any questions, just shoot me an email!

I don’t have any Thanksgiving pictures of Cassidy, but I do have a couple from last week, when she was nursing her sick baby doll:

Taking her temperature with an emery board “thermometer”:

Checking her ears with the nose syringe:

And making sure her teeth were very, very clean (note she has TWO toothbrushes!):

What a great imagination!  Have a great day!
