CCMC443 Bradley's Birthday

Hi everyone!  Hope you had a good weekend and enjoyed the Super Bowl, if that's your thing!  I have a masculine birthday card for you today, using the Create with Connie and Mary sketch:

CCMC443
and my favorite guy set, Guy Greetings!  My nephew's birthday is coming up this week, and he goes to the gym faithfully, so I thought this "vintage" bodybuilder would make him smile:

I used some retired DSP (lost the cover, can't remember the name) from a couple of years back, and my circular elements were stamped with images from Timeless Textures.  I lightly watercolored his tights and belt:

I think this is actually the first time I've inked up this handsome fellow!  Enjoy your day!

A YUMMY dessert after an afternoon of bowling!

CCMC442

Happy Friday, peeps!  I was excited to see the color challenge at Create with Connie & Mary (now at a "new" FB location) because it is so bright and cheery, it almost makes me forget I have a cold and the skies are still kinda gray!  What do you think:

Image may contain: text

I also used the Freshly Made Sketches sketch:

These colors just seemed to fit with the images of the cute new set, Day at the Beach, so I did some stamping, punching, diecutting and coloring:

Each image was stamped in the challenge colors and colored with marker, blender pen and/or aquapainter!  I used a sentiment from Suite Sentiments, the big sun from Kinda Eclectic and the horizontal element is from Butterfly Basics.  Isn't it fun to mix and match elements from different sets?

And the inside sentiment is from Avant Garden:

Another card to add to my birthday stash!

Wayne brought home some amazing strawberries last night (he works for a wholesale produce company) and Cassidy decided to try a little trick she saw on her tablet from Life Hacks.  She took a drinking straw and pushed it up from the bottom, through the strawberry, to take out the hull.  It was a little tricky to get it pushed straight through; she needed some help from Mommy, but it worked!!

And she took a big bite out it before I could take a picture!!!

Enjoy your day and be blessed!

CCMC440 and IMC283 Love You Lots

Yay, it's Friday!  I had a wee bit of time to stamp yesterday and I used the color challenge from Create with Connie and; Mary as well as the sketch from In(k)spire Me:

CCMC440

I've been wanting to use more of the punny images from Perfect Mix and I thought this was a good sketch to do that.  I stamped the image in Basic Black twice; colored one with markers and blender pens and cut it out, then diecut the other one with the Stitched Shapes Framelits and mounted it on a Crumb Cake scallop:

A little dry embossing, a little hole-punching and a little heart finished it up, then I added a little sentiment down at the bottom!

Easy and fun!  Thanks for popping in!

I snagged this photo of Cassidy, ready for bed and brushing her teeth!  That Minion girl!

MTS157 and CCMC438 Birthday

Hi everyone!  I am a little late posting today....I starting a knitting project and the rest of my crafts have faded into the background, LOL!  But I roused myself and used the Match the Sketch sketch and the beautiful Create with Connie & Mary colors for a birthday card for my MIL:

CCMC438

I started with a thick white cardstock base....I already had this one scored, but I used it anyway...the fold is on the side, but that's okay!  I have been intrigued with the creations I have seen in blogland where images are stamped very faintly in a light color, then watercolored,  I'll show you my first project later in the post, but for this card, I stamped the flowers from Touches of Texture in Smoky Slate, then watercolored them with Flirty Flamingo and Pool Party inks:

I also stamped the speckles and lace image in Pool Party, then heat embossed part of the birthday sentiment from Cottage Greetings in white, and added the "happy" in FF, stamped on a Stitched Shapes oval:

It's difficult to see, but I also added some silver thread behind the sentiment and a little sliver of silver glimmer paper to the banner.  My final touch was a dragonfly, colored, cut out and popped up:

And here is the inside:

Now, here is my first attempt at this technique.  My Big Shot plates, which I have since tried to flatten out, were so warped that my die slipped, and I did not get a good cut, but I wanted to show you this little snowman from Jar of Cheer anyway:

Here's the final result....not the best, but still cute and I want to try it again!  Thanks for popping in today!

Just a few shots from Christmas morning:

Cassidy only asked for a couple of things for Christmas, and a "doll that looks like a reel baby" was one of them.....can you tell she was excited about receiving it? Love the look on her face!

Enjoy your day!

MTS152 and CCMC434 Thinking of You

Happy Monday, all!  A quick little post today using Match the Sketch's sketch and Create with Connie & Mary's colors:

CCMC434

I needed a get-well card for my BIL....he cut the upper portion of his finger on a wood splitter!  Yowch!  The surgeon was able to reattach it but he will be in the hospital for a few days!  I took the sketch and turned it on its side as I liked the orientation better.  The Vintage Leaves leaf was stamped in Delightful Dijon; the sentiment from Wetlands in Cherry Cobbler, and the other splatters in Crumb Cake.  Some of them are from Work of Art and some are from Timeless Textures:

I also stamped the circular element as well as the horizontal and vertical elements in different images from Timeless Textures....all stamped in Versamark to give it a nice subtle look.

We've had several "murmurations" of starlings over the last week....Cassidy was fascinated by them!

Enjoy your day!

CCMC432 and GDP062 Wetlands Birthday

Happy Wednesday, peeps!  Today is John's birthday, so I have a masculine card to share with you!  It uses the sketch from the Global Design Project:
And the colors from Create with Connie & Mary:

CCMC432

I got the Wetlands set a while back and have never inked it up!  I thought this would be a good time!  I stamped the goose and sentiment in Night of Navy, then masked the goose and added some grass in Mint Macaron.  I did not get any of the copper foil sheets, but I had some Brushed Copper cardstock from waaaaaay back so I used that, as well as Copper Encore ink to add a few speckles:

I also had some copper metallic thread from way back, so I used that as well under my sentiment.  The final touch was to add some stamping around the outside of the Mint Macaron card base.  Very easy and simple card!

Cassidy made a card for Grampy, too.  Since Grampy likes deer, and I had just gotten some little deer dies, we cut some out of some kraft paper:

and she had a notion in her head (all by herself, too), to add some white gel pen accents:

She continued on, decorating her deer and drawing a field, sky and "clouds", then writing her own sentiment:  "Happy Deery Birthday to you, Grampy":

And check out all her little deer:

I guess she likes baby deer the most!!

Have a blessed day!

CCMC431 Merry and Bright

Happy Monday, everyone!  Hope you had a wonderful weekend!  It was quiet here in the Pugliese household and I spent some time straightening up my craft room, only to get it messy again!  I was VERY excited to see that Stampin' Up! finally got on the stitched die bandwagon!  I have several sets of non-SU dies but it is nice to be able to have some to demonstrate and sell!  I have a class coming on up Friday using the Stitched with Cheer set, so I wanted to make some samples with both the stamp set and the dies.  The Create with Connie & Mary sketch was a good place to start:

CCMC431

(Edited to add:  I did not realize I had CASEd Connie's card almost perfectly!!!  Great minds think alike, I guess!  Check hers out to see!!!)  The Stitched with Cheer set has so many fun "stitchy" images, and for this card, I chose all three of the snowflake images:

I stamped the large snowflakes in Pool Party and diecut them with the smallest stitched circle die; the medium snowflakes were stamped in Calypso Coral and cut out with a Circles framelit, and the smallest snowflake was stamped in among the dots on the A Little Foxy DSP....can you see them in there?  Aren't they cute?  I stamped the sentiment in Smoky Slate and fussy-cut it out and mounted it on dimensionals.  A few rhinestones added some sparkle!  Easy peasy!

Oops!  I found one more photo of Mandy Panda; Cassidy made a little fun-foam jack-o-lantern at school and she thought it would be a good decoration for Mandy's shirt!  What do you think?

Enjoy your day!

CCMC428 and PPA322 At Christmas

Happy Friday, peeps!  Yay, it's the weekend!  I have a busy one planned, but it's all good!  But how can it be October 14 already??!!  Hope you have some fun things planned as well!  I have another Christmas card today; I was inspired by this sweet card by my friend Joanne....it is just so cute!  So this is for the Create with Connie & Mary color challenge, just like hers, as well as Susan's fun little sketch from the Pals Paper Arts:

CCMC428ppa322

So here we go:

I will admit that Sweet Sugarplum is a sadly under-used color in my cardmaking!  It's really quite pretty!  I stamped the banner from Time of Year, fussy-cut it out and put it atop a Swirly Scribbles Pear Pizzazz diecut.  I was really sad when SU discontinued Iridescent Ice embossing powder, which is what I used on my "wreath" here, but you can get a similar effect with Versamark ink, Heat & Stick Powder, and Dazzling Diamonds glitter!  I just smooshed my diecut into my Versamark pad, coated it with the EP and heated it up:

I love how it gives it a darker, sparkly look!  I stamped the holly in Pear Pizzazz and Sweet Sugarplum, trimming and gluing, then added some Pool Party strips of DSP from a few years back.  This is such a fun sketch, I love it!  I added a simple sentiment on the inside; I think it might be a bit too simple, I might have to go back and add some more holly or something!

Another card to add to my stash!

Continuing on our "Minion" day (for some reason, she kept the hood up the entire morning until she got dressed!!!), my sweet friend Sandy set her some fuzzy Jack-o-lantern stickers, so she went to work making Halloween cards for her two sets of cousins:

Despite my best efforts, she really loves coloring more than stamping, although she did do a little bit here with Jolly Bingo Bits!  I have a whole set of retired SU markers and she loves them the best!

Since she is learning to read and write, I cannot hardly get her to stamp a sentiment...she writes a whole letter on the inside; I wish I had taken a photo of it!  Other than spelling a few words wrong, she does really well.  She climbed up on a chair to look at the October calendar to see how to spell "Halloween"!  Now she knows it by heart!  She really has a giving heart, she loves to give cards and even her toys away!

Thanks for popping by today and have a blessed day!
