AHSC513 Hello Baby

Happy Wednesday, peeps!  Well, this February we've celebrated a big birthday, a big wedding, and this weekend a big baby shower!  I guess I should be glad we haven't had any snow to mess up the plans!  John's nephew and wife will be having a GIRL!!!  Finally!  So I couldn't wait to make a little baby girl card for her shower; I used the sketch from Atlantic Hearts:

I didn't use quite as many horizontal panels on my card, but I pulled out some pretty pastels from this year's DSP collection and here's what I came up with:

After cutting my DSP into 1" strips and mounting on a Basic White card, I stamped the baby shoes in Smoky Slate ink and added just a wee bit of shading, then fussy- cut them out.  I cut out a filigree heart from the retired Be Mine Stitched Hearts dies and popped the little shoes on top:

Teeny Tiny Wishes came to the rescue once again for a wee little sentiment, punched out with the retired Word Windoe punch:

And I stamped a sentiment from Technique Tuesday's Beauty of Spring on the inside, with another couple of diecut hearts:
She's due in late March, can't wait to see her!  Thanks for popping in today--enjoy your day and be blessed!

RRCB173

Hi peeps!  Time for a new Retro Rubber challenge, and it's quite a pretty seasonal one!  Check it out:

What a sweet country Christmas image!  I have been finding myself a bit stretched for time lately, so I went very easy, creating some tags with a tag die and adding a sentiment from Merry Christmas to All (2018):

I used an alphabet die I got as a gift from Susan Branch a couple years ago, and added a snowflake stamp and some twine:

It all went on a lovely piece of Winter Wonderland DSP from Simple Stories!  And I did add a few snowflake sequins for fun!   Now, what will you create?  Just remember that your stamps must be at least a year old and you must give the approximate age of them!  We want to give our older stamps some love!  Can't wait to see what you create...share it with us at the Retro Rubber blog!

Thanks for popping in today...enjoy it and be blessed!

The Card Concept 129 Warm Winter Wishes

Hi everyone!  Today we have a new Card Concept challenge...check out this warm wintery vignette:

Cute!  Unfortunately, there has been NO SNOW in my neck of the woods at ALL this winter--one of the warmest on record!  So I have had to get all my inspiration from these fun papers that I've been hoarding!  Check out my little Shabby and Vintage snowman card:

This little guy was on a sheet of 12x12" scrapbook paper from an older DCWV pad called The Crafty Christmas!  I trimmed it down to fit a Merry Merlot card base, then went to work to add some vintage layers!

I diecut some snowflakes from some white glimmer paper and sponged a little bit of Crumb Cake ink  on them to give them a more rustic look:

I stamped a sentiment in Soft Suede from a retired set, Winter Wishes, on a scrap of the same paper, then cut it out freehand and sponged on some White craft ink around the edges along with a swoosh of Wink of Stella!  The "winter" is from a Susan Branch alphabet set that I also cut out freehand; I love the eclectic look it creates!

My final touch was some thick baker's twine, and a sentiment on the inside:

I hope you enjoyed my Shabby and Vintage card, and hope you'll play along with us this week at The Card Concept!  Just remember to tell us your style! See you there!

The family went to a sushi restaurant recently and Cassidy ate her dinner with chopsticks....they're "fake" but she used them all throughout the meal!

Enjoy your day and be blessed!
