TTTC#056 Under the Blue Umbrellas

Hi everyone!  Second post today!  If you're looking for my Inspired By post, just scroll down!  It's the second Thursday of the month, and that means a Tic Tac Toe challenge for Team X!  I am the hostess this week, too, and here's the grid I've chosen for you to play with:

No photo description available.

I chose the middle column of blue, umbrella and DSP!  I knew I wanted to use the Under My Umbrella set, but I wanted a more "vintage" color palette!  I chose papers from some Graphic 45 6x6 pad and stamped all my umbrellas in Night of Navy and punched them out:

The background paper, which features tiny little hearts, is also from the same pad, but to give it some interest, I stamped some flowers from Perennial Birthday in Crumb Cake directly on to the DSP.  Then I popped up the umbrellas, added the handles and some Blend-colored rhinestones and stamped the sentiment in Crumb Cake and diecut it with a Stitched So Sweetly die:

I added some rhinestones here too!

A really simple card...the stamps and punch make this a breeze!  I hope you'll play with our grid this week to get your spring cards started!  Check out what the other designers created at the Tic Tac Toe challenge blog and share yours too!

Cassidy's been working on a blanket she started a while ago:

Stay tuned to see the finished product!  Enjoy your day and be blessed!

The Tic Tac Toe Challenge #54

Hi everyone!  It's time for another Tic Tac Toe challenge...it's Team X's week, with Joanne as our hostess!  Here's our grid for this week:

No photo description available.

I chose the left column of punch, rain and gingham for my Easter card today, although it also uses the center column down as well, if you consider a chick an animal, LOL!  So here we go:

This little chick is one of my favorite spring images; I stamped it in Stazon ink and watercolored it with an aquapainter.  The raindrops are from Under My Umbrella; I matted it with a stitched scalloped mat of Daffodil Delight and added some blue ribbon:

I added a panel of So Saffron gingham, and I layered a couple of punches to highlight a sentiment from a past Paper Pumpkin kit:

The grid this week has so many fun elements to help you create a spring card--we hope you'll play along!  Be sure to check out what all the design team created at the Tic Tac Toe blog, then share yours today!  Thanks for popping by today!  Enjoy it and be blessed!

TTTC52 CAS Celebrate You

Happy Thursday, peeps!  It's time for another Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge!  Here's the grid we have to choose from today:

No photo description available.

The row I chose (which seemed to be quite popular with the DT this week, LOL!) was the top one across:  Die cut, Clean and Simple, and Purple!  Dana's favorite color is purple, and her birthday was Sunday, so I created this one for her:

I gave a lot of different sets and products some love with this card!  I used a Purple Posy card base and some matching DSP from Best Dressed, diecut with a Stitched Rectangle die.  I added an Adirondack chair from the Seasonal Layers die set, in Highland Heather, along with a little "drink" from the Colorful Seasons set, and a little glimmer paper heart from the Trio of Tags dies:

I used the other part of the heart, along with a Highland Heather heart, to complement the sentiment from Bloom and Grow:

and a sentiment from Bonanza Buddies on the inside:

She really liked it, and she liked the gift card I put inside even more, LOL!  I hope you'll play along with our Tic Tac Toe board this week as well!  Can't wait to see what you create!

Speaking of Sunday, John, Dana and Wayne and I all went to Sandy Cove, which is a Christian retreat center in Northeast, Maryland, for a couples conference over the weekend. We had a lot of fun, a lot of food, and a relaxing time!  Here we are in front of the fireplace:

And here's a shot of the sunset over the cove, the night we arrived.  It was taken through a window, so it's not the best, but it was beautiful!  The picture doesn't really do it justice!

Thank you so much for popping in today!  Enjoy your day and be blessed!

Tic Tac Toe Challenge #050

Hello, stampers!  A second post for me today.... I was recently asked by Felicita to be on the Tic Tac Toe Challenge team!  I said yes, and there are a lot of other familiar faces on the design team too!  I am happy to be designing with them!  Our first challenge of 2020 looks like this, with Shannon as our featured designer:

No photo description available.

I used the bottom row across:  punch, blue and twine!

I started with some Balmy Blue cardstock and my Timeless Label punch, punching out three labels, then stamping them with Versamark ink, using  the wooden image from Gallery Grunge.  I tried an old technique to add some light color; I used my Stampin' Pastels (anyone remember them???) and a cotton puff to dab on some color, just to make it stand out a bit!  I embossed a panel of Basic Black with the new Coastal Weave EF and layered the labels on top.

I stamped two of the birds from the May Paper Pumpkin kit and fussy-cut them out after giving them a wee bit of color with my Blends.  A sentiment from the same kit was stamped in Memento Black and diecut with a Stitched So Sweetly die and tucked under the black panel:

I finished it with some Soft Sky twine, then mounted it on a Smoky Slate mat, a white rectangle-stitched panel, and finally a Balmy Blue card base.  I stamped a sentiment from So Sentimental on the inside, along with some speckles and another couple of birds:

I can't wait to see what you create with this tic-tac-toe board!!  They're always fun, and they are a great way to get your creative juices flowing when you're stumped for ideas!  Stop over at the TTTC blog to see what the others have created and share yours too!  Thanks for popping in today!  Enjoy your day and be blessed!
