PP659 Sketch from Anne Marie

Hello, stampers!  Sunday brings us another challenge from the Paper Players, and Anne Marie is our hostess this week with a wonderful sketch! Sketches are my favorite!  So here we go:

I have not used the Countryside Inn DSP for a while, and one of my customers just purchased some,  so I decided to use one of the darker pieces for my background. However, the white diecuts kind of got lost against the patterns, so I added a vellum layer to soften it a bit.  Here we go:

It really looks nicer in real life than in this photo, LOL!  The opposite side of the DSP was diecut with a Stylish Shapes die to create my background for the white Dainty Design and Timeless Arrangements dies. The sentiment, from Lasting Joy, was stamped in Night of Navy ink and diecut with a Stitched Rectangle die:

This could be used for any number of occasions, so I left the inside blank!  I am also going to enter this at the Alphabet Challenge, which is monochromatic!

Make sure you pop onl over to the Paper Players blog to see what the amazing designers created with this equally-amazing sketch!  Then be sure to share your inspiration with us as well!  Thanks for visiting today; enjoy it and be blessed!

FMS604 Warm Wishes

Hi there, everyone!  Well, it is rainy and windy here on the east coast today; a perfect day to stay inside and.....CLEAN!  Well, and stamp too!  A wee bit of both! I really wanted to play with the FMS sketch this week:

There were lots of pretty leafy cards in the gallery, but I wanted to do something else, so I opted for a warm cup of cocoa and a Christmas card!

I started with a panel of Crumb Cake on which I used a Knit stencil from The Greetery, which fulfills the 52 Christmas Card Throwdown challenge:

then added some snowflakes and a cup of cocoa and peppermint stick stirrers:

All the images were from some retired sets I haven't used in a while, so it was fun to get them inky!  The sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp; I added a white border and mounted everything on a Emerald Envy square card measuring 4 1/4".  I added a Merry Christmas to the inside and added it to my Christmas card stash!  Thanks for visiting today!

We went to the Solanco (Southern Lancaster County) fair last night to see the exhibits, look at the craft and veggie submissions and check to see if my Christmas Advent Calendar cross stitch won anything!  Check! A blue ribbon!  The picture is hard to see because they cover all the projects with plastic but hopefully you can get the general idea:

Here's the jumbo pumpkin:

This little wagon of gourds won Best of Show:

And it was hard to choose a favorite flower but I thought this yellow rose was pretty:

So much to look at, but I only got a few pictures!  Enjoy your day and be blessed!

SSC318 Hey There!

Happy Friday, everyone!  I have a real quick card today using the Sunday Stamps challenge:

I love banners, and I love gingham, so I combined them with a cute little sunflower stamp from a past Paper Pumpkin kit!  So here we go:

I stamped the flower outline first in Crushed Curry, then offset the petals and stamped again in Daffodil Delight, and the center in Pecan Pie. The Pecan Pie gingham forms the banners and background, and I added a sentiment from Charmed Sentiments:

Another sentiment from the same set went on the inside:

Simple but cheerful!  Thanks for popping in today!  Enjoy it and be blessed!

CASC&S521 BOO!

Happy Thursday, peeps!  The weekend is in sight!  I have a fun little clean-and-simple card today using the fun sketch from Clean and Simple Colours & Sketches---it features THREE elements, which is right up my alley:

I got some fun new Halloween papers recently as well as a cute little alphabet die, so I combined them with some retired stamps to creat this:

My diecut squares were created with  papers from Echo Park's Spooky pad and I used some white glimmer paper to create the letters with Lawn Fawn's Oliver's Stitched ABC dies:

The ghost paper is from Honey Bee's Halloween Harvest and the sentiment is from an old SU set called Good Greetings.  The bats were diecut with dies from Scary Silhouettes:

And on the inside, I used a retired Hostess set called Six Sayings with an addition of the "you're" from Paper Studio's Everyday Expressions:

Fun little Halloween card!! I am also entering this at the Krafty Chicks challenge this week, where it is CAS!

Thanks for popping in today, enjoy it and be blessed!

God is our shelter and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble.  So we will not be afraid, even if the earth is shaken and mountains fall into the ocean depths; even if the seas roar and rage, and the hills are shaken by the violence.  Psalm 46: 1-3

Plethora of Pumpkins

Happy Tuesday, peeps!  I had fun this morning doing a bit of fussy cutting for a thank you card I needed!  The Atlantic Hearts sketch is a really fun one, and the Hand Stamped Sentiments has a fun mood board:

So here we go:

I used the top two photos as my inspiration; I diecut two Stitched Rectangles of Very Vanilla and Lost Lagoon, and patched them together to make a longer rectangle, and mounted them on a piece of Very Vanilla embossed with the Twisted Rope embossing folder.  I stamped some pumpkins from Pick of the Patch in various colors, then sponged some Craft White ink on each one to soften the colors and fussy-cut them out:

I added a stamped banner using the thank you sentiment from the same set, a few sequins, and since I had some extra pumpkins, they went on the inside:

An unusual layout, but I had fun with it! Thanks for popping in today! Enjoy it and be blessed!

PP658 CAS Sports x Two

Happy Sunday, everyone!  I hope your weekend is going well!  It's the fabulous Claire's turn to host our Paper Players challenge today and she has a great one!  So here we go:

I actually made two for this challenge; the first one I thought was not quite CAS enough!  So I just made another! I can always use them!  So, here we go with the first one:

In my search for some graphic-style paper, I found some in my stash that matched Starry Sky pretty well, and since that's a color I rarely use, I thought I would challenge myself! I pulled out a retired stamp, Exteme Skater, a Paper Pumpkin sentiment and some Gorgeous Grunge and did some simple stamping; I hope skateboarding is considered a sport, LOL:

Everything went on an Orchid Oasis card base and I added a strip of the same paper on the inside:

And here's my first card, I used retired sets called Have a Ball and Your Biggest Fan along with the FMS sketch for this week:

Here's the sketch:

And the inside:

I think this is a great opportunity to create some clean-and-simple masculine cards!  What sports fan do you know who would love a card featuring his (or her) favorite team or sport?  Put on your creative thinking caps and share your creation with us at the Paper Players!

Here's something I made while pursuing one of my favorite "sports"--knitting!  I made up this pattern off the top of my head; in the future I'll make it less bulky at top and bottom!  The retired Stitched Leaves dies came in handy to create the felt leaves!

Thanks for visiting today!  Enjoy your day and be blessed!

Magic Meadow Tis the Season

Happy Saturday, peeps!  I have great plans to CLEAN UP my craft room today!  We'll see how that goes, LOL! It's a hot mess right now!  Anyway, I did have time yesterday to finally play with the new Magic Meadow stamps and DSPs, and the sketch from Jingle Belles worked great for it!  Here's the sketch:

And here's my take on it:

I used a Smoky Slate card base, then diecut a panel of the DSP with the retired Stitched Nested Labels die.  The die I used was a little too long, so I ran it through again to shorten it a bit.  I also used a piece of Pretty Peacock Shimmer paper for the mat....it looks really pretty with the Lost Lagoon colors.  I stamped the trees Lost Lagoon, and the sentiment (Simon Says Stamp) was stamped in Pretty Peacock.  I also used a couple of those new Faceted Gems for embellishments...they're pretty fat, so this will take extra postage, but it's worth it!  Hopefully you can see how pretty that Shimmer paper is....love it!

It's Christmas week at the Krafty Chicks, too, so I'll be entering this over there as well!  Thanks for popping in today--enjoy it and be blessed!

Celebrate The Season

Happy Thursday, peeps!  I've been missing my stamp room today...it took me two days to get this card done, LOL!  But between laundry, picking stuff from the garden and work, I finally finished it!  So here we go:

This is for a couple of challenges; the Inspire.Create sketch, and the Retro Rubber Fall Scenes challenge:

I used several older stamp sets for this card....I had to do a lot of searching to find the ages of them, LOL!  (I'll list the ages below in my "recipe"!)  I used some papers from Honey Bee Stamps for the background, placing them on a panel embossed with the Leaf Fall embossing folder.  I accented my little punkin with some Wild Wheat twine and they're hard to see, but there are silver sequins on the panel as well!

The sentiment and leaves from Beautiful Autumn (2020) was stamped on the inside:

I really enjoyed pulling out these older stamps and playing with them once again!  Thanks for visiting today!

So I just want to thank everyone who reached out to make sure I was okay during the last two weeks...my little community in Chester County was very close to where the escaped prisoner was hiding, although we were never in danger as he was never that close to us.  He was close to Longwood, where my brother works, and the area where he was captured was relatively close to John's sister's home, but thankfully it is all over now.  The Avondale State Police barracks to where he was transported was the nearest to us but he was in good hands there!  So happy that K9 did his job perfectly, and we are grateful to the countless police officers as well. It was brutally hot last week and the area in which the escapee was hiding was thick and dense. It's easy to be an armchair critic when we're sitting in our nice cool homes and they are out in the thick of it.  I am just glad it's over!  Enjoy your day and be blessed!

Stamps for Sale

I'm selling a few stamps---check out the "Stamps for Sale" page above to check them out!

Stamp Club Projects

Happy Tuesday, everyone!  Yesterday was stamp club and I thought I'd share the projects that we made.  First, I want to say that the stamping community is an awesome one, where creative people share their cards freely on their blogs and social media!  That means people like MOI can CASE them (Copy And Share Everything)!  These two cards are a perfect example!  I borrowed ideas from two of my favorite stampers and made them my own!  So thanks, Amanda and Beth!  So here we go!

The first card was a CASE from Amanda Mertz.  You can see her original card here.  For our card, we used Thick Very Vanilla cardstock, embossed it with the Leaf Fall embossing folder, then layered three strips of All About Autumn DSP, cut with the Rectangle Stitched dies, then added a copper-embossed sentiment from Fruitful Blessings:

The Countryside Corners die was a perfect fit for this pretty sentiment:

And we stamped this sentiment from Lasting Joy in Copper Clay ink on the inside:

Our second project featured a Faux Side Step Card from Beth McCullough.  You can see her original card here.  We used the cute Pick of the Patch set with its matching punch, along with some Pumpkin Pie and Granny Apple Green inks and cardstock:

Here's the inside too:

The girls seemed to love them!  Again, thanks to Amanda and Beth for their creativity!  Thanks for popping in today!

Sawyer caught a fish while on vacation...look at the expression on that face!  Priceless!

Enjoy your day and be blessed!

TTTC225 So Very Blessed

Happy Monday, everyone! Yesterday we honored our pastor and his family; they've been at our church for five years and we are so blessed to have them!  The card I made for them fulfilled the Tic Tac Toe challenge:  I used the right column down of square, masculine and leaves:

I pulled out my Lawn Fawn Stitched Leaves dies...these are my all-time favorites....and some leafy paper from my stash, so here we go:

I wish I had made it a wee bit smaller; it's 5 1/4" square, but it is what it is! The sentiments I used are from Stamp Simply's Framhouse Scriptural Thoughts, stamped in Pecan Pie ink.  I cut my leaves from Crushed Curry, Pumpkin Pie and Poppy Parade.  I did add a couple wee little Crumb Cake stamps in the corner of the sentiment panel; it just looked a little bare.  And I just could not stand adding one little embellishment (my pastor likes things PLAIN...this will probably be too fussy for him, LOL!) of some twine on the smaller leaf:

Thanks for visiting today!  Enjoy it and be blessed too!
