PP366 CAS Scary Halloween

Happy Sunday, everyone!  I trust you're having a good weekend so far!  Laurie is our hostess this week at the Paper Players and she has a spooky theme for us...but it IS clean and simple:

Since I was on a roll with my vintage Halloween images, I decided to pull out this fierce-looking cat riding a witch's broomstick for my CAS card this week:

I didn't go the traditional black and orange route, but chose Night of Navy for my background, on which I stamped some spooky trees and bats using an old, old jumbo wheel that I took off the plastic and adhered a foam backing to it so I can use it like a regular stamp.  I also filled in the rest of the sky with the "stars" from Christmas Pines!  My moon was a big Crushed Curry circle, sponged with Crushed Curry and Peekaboo Peach, then stamped with Gorgeous Grunge and of course, my wee little witchy cat:

The bats and sentiments are from a retired Rubbernecker set, and I just love this little rhyme:

We hope this challenge prompts you to create a clean-and-simple spooky Halloween card!  Be sure to check out what the design team created at the Paper Players blog!

Cassidy looks like a spooky creature; or maybe it's just a little girl with raspberries on her fingers!  Silly!

Enjoy your day and be blessed!

Cassidy is adorable...and she even has a cat top on! Not as scary as the cat on your card though!

Your Halloween card is adorable, love the cat, but especially the spooky trees in the background on the card base.
But Cassidy is just beautiful!

LeAnne, I love that you went the navy route - it really makes your black background images pop and works so beautifully with your moon. I love the vintage image - and that fabulous sentiment. Great CAS card

I love the strong colours you've used but I what I really love most is the shadowy stamping in the background: the bats and splatters and trees all build up such a spooky atmosphere.

That cat on a broom is awesome, LeAnne. Has me wondering why I don't have one of those! Super cute card, love the non-traditional colors for Halloween.
